@ARM_THEAS u need a higher rank in vrchat to upload I think 🤔 it's either user rank or known rank u start out at visitor and have to make an account and play more and interact to get a higher rank to upload

I have an avatar I’m trying to upload however her prefab isn’t highlighted in a blue so it keeps hitting me with ‘avatar id not found’ anyway I can fix this?
there are possible ways to fix it the avatar id is what is in the pipeline manager so if u can remove that pipeline id or move it to a new one then it should work but sometimes it continues to come back if that happens then i would say the model is broken and try contacting the artist of it.
So we can upload this avtars from the vr chat creator companion, but can we do the opposite? Can we download avatar projects from VRChat into the crator companion?
@@ThePicc98 Good question at the moment no you see when someone uploads an avatar public avatars can be saved by a person, but they can't be edited whether or not they do this in the future. I have no idea but it would be a good idea if they did because then people could customize public avatars to fit what they want.
@@Zilla833 That's a good question. Unfortunately they're automatically assigned if you detach it. It will give you a new one. You can also go to the content manager inside the vrchat SDK and copy the IDs from stuff you have uploaded in the past and use those to overwrite the existing avatar
@@lunagardvonbingen bc I have explained it b4 and there are videos specified on that if I did it everytime the video could end up being too long when I'm just talking about importing and uploading avatars
@@totally_Sane. Mmm sometimes the creator companion can't find it. I would go to settings and look to see if it has the location of it if not then direct it to the locations of the unity version
The just use the default one that is on the project when u open it add ur character add the vrc avatar descriptor component edit the eye look and I should be good to upload
it could be because the avi's materials or the poly count is too high for the character to be uploaded to quest i would try fixing those first then trying again.
@@Kat8youUp realistically it depends on PC specs and internet. But yes it can take a while. I have a pretty decked out PC with solid state drives. And a 3070 GPU And it can take me 5 to 10 minutes to build and upload an avatar
@@Bry049 too large... Welp make it smaller but if it's too many polygons then I need to get rid of them in blender or just find a diff avatar/msg the creator
@@oakdewees Oh I'm sorry unfortunately I can't help with that as that's not a unity problem I would try maybe waiting a day or using a different email for the vrchat account
@@Em3raldz. Try downloading it manually (make sure it's the right version) then connecting it to vrccc(VR chat creator companion) in the settings of the vrccc

mmm i mean im not really able to bc of my work load but it isnt really that hard if u have a pc this video covers most of the topics people would run into but if u are really struggling then asking the friend to help wouldnt hurt
@@kurx-wl8ky that means there was a problem wt creating the project alot of people accidently open or create projects through unity hub and should be the creator companion only. if it is that u don't see the window then I showed that there is a tab in the top left to open it. If these two things aren't the problem join my discord and send a screenshot of the entire window

my avatar is full pink but it dosent tell me to add any shaders
