Nobody knows Exactly what is going on or going to happen in the crypto space... What I've noticed even the experts Willy woo, Udi, Tone or Peter etc..... They learned over time and can only predict or understand what is going on through your/their own Due Diligence in the crypto space...After a while ( 4th-6th year) you get your own flow of understanding it and make the best educated guess you feel comfortable with... Everyone will be wrong eventually, but most times it ends positive in one way or another, besides Hacks and huge loses, even then we learn..... Anything these guys do or say should only be takin as education that YOU and only YOU decides what to do with your investments through experience. The space is moving so fast even the 10 year veteran will be challenged with most of their decisions.

Actually not true. Udi did a podcast with Do and raised skeptical issues. He said he hoped it would work, but made the point it was very risky and wouldn't buy it

Once again, this proves that Twitter isn't the right place for some conversations. Udi was more reasonable in the Pod, than he is on Twitter. Rather than trolls, approaches like this could help on Twitter.
Thanks Peter for having an open mind and letting Udi on. Would love similar conversation with non-bitcoin maxis.

The fact that the other coins get a crapload of adoption can easily be explained away by the huge venture capital behind them, the economic incentive to build a new coin, and the massive advertising campaigns these shitcoiners have.

Udi says maximalism is ok but it doesnt work. How does he know that? He then says hes not talking about market caps or price. ok, so he immediately describes a subjective point of view that in his perception it doesnt work. fair enough. Tell me why massive percentages of fresh "crypto/nft" inflows ride the roller coaster life cycle only to eventually be absorbed into BTC market cap? It appears to me that people who realize gains would prefer to store them in bitcoin or those who have been burned and maybe even loathed certain old head bitcoiners would take their lumps and realize the fundamental differences of btc and "everything else"... I don't think u can officially be a maximalist without also prescribing to the "everything else" narrative which is why i align more so with Peter in that I allow certain openness to things like stable coins or even privacy coins and I simply prefer to opt out of any other chain because I believe it's all a bit too risky for me to speculate on the certain few winners in the crypto tech company sphere (which is what 99.9 percent of these things are)

@3:25 BTC: the religion. Yes, precisely; religion is a most proper use-case for BTC. Just as proper as science, or mathematics. Ultimately, BTC asks for humanity to have faith in itself, collectively (for BTC to continue). In other terms, if you think humanity has any value, then BTC is a statistical scoreboard of humanity's cooperative value.

If you send lightning BTC to OpenSea the NFT contract needs to update the contract to list the owning address which in this case would be a Lightning address? Doesn't even make sense.

Maximalist comes from revolutionary Russia, where there was a broad range of approaches, from reform to total revolution. The maximalists like the Bolsheviks didn't care if the lives of the workers got worse - they wanted revolution or nothing. Thus, they repeatedly sabotaged any movement towards gradual change, or change that wouldn't result in a total overthrow of the economic system. In general, maximalism does not compromise, and seeks total victory for its side. While maximalism has a dark history in politics, it can be applied reasonably outside of political power. If one believes that in the long run Bitcoin will be they only successful crypto asset for logical, justifiable reasons, then why not say so? It has nothing to do with having a bad attitude - it's simply certainty. Nothing wrong with arguing your case to the best of your ability. The slavery abolitionists were maximalists. Good. The alcohol abolitionists were maximalists. Bad.

It's not that people don't want to be associated with scams, but that people don't want to promote things that they believe are scams.... So I didn't walk away from Bitcoin because OTHERS thought it was a scam, I do walk away from NFTs because I believe it is a scam.
Udi is just impatient. He also doesn't seem to understand tradeoffs and he doesn't care.
"Most things probably are a scam, but there are things there that are real and we shouldn't ignore them"... You are telling people to enter a field of scams and not giving any more guidance that "some of them are not scams, go ahead, buy something".
Why not talk about what ISN'T a scam, how you evaluate it? -- Because you know that if you were wrong, you will be quoted and you don't want that.
That also means you don't know what you are saying is true with any certainty. That means you are pushing people to do things so that YOU can see how it evolves... You are treating people like guinea pigs.

I find it strange that Udi can’t define maximalism very well while having people identify him as a maxi.
