My anecdotal evidence: my husband has suffered from dandruff for an extremely long time. Comes and goes, gets worse gets better. This most recent bout wouldnt go away with head and shoulders or even selson blue. I told him to wash his hair 2 times a week after watching a video. His hair is like mm long lol. Hasnt had an issue since and this started june of this year.
its an individual thing for sure. i stopped using shampoo in january and stuck to just water, due to my scalp being super dry and itchy, and it is now no longer itchy or dry and my hair looks as good as it ever did. BUT this is just my personal experience. its a good thing to look into but it isnt for everyone.
Blonde guy is wrong - when we use shampoo we wash away the natural oils that our hair produces, which gets it into the habit of producing too much oil in order to overcompensate. So using shampoo doesn't make it produce less natural oil - it makes it produce MORE natural oil. Which is why we get greasy hair when we skip a day or two of using it I've been using no shampoo for 3 months now and my hair isn't greasy, everything feels fine. Diet is also a big factor - if you eat unnaturally then your hair and scalp (and skin) are going to be in much worse shape, which means they need more washing. So doesn't make sense to go no shampoo if your diet sucks. I am blonde with fairly short hair btw - maybe an inch long.
i have type 3 curly hair and no shampoo worked for me- sort of. depends on the time of year because some weather makes my scalp more dry than others. I feel the points you touched on are mostly pretty accurate. I dont think no shampoo is a bad thing at all if it works for you. but also, shampoo isnt the devil if you can find the right products. people need to stop deciding their hair routine (or any hygiene routine honestly) on what people on the internet say and start finding what works for them, in my opinion. good video.
The only thing to understand is that we all have different hair types So we need to figure out what is better for us. For me it is using shampoo only once a week, and other times just using warm water is enough
if you never wash your hair and scalp, oil will build up very quick and thats just disgusting. i tried to wash my hair only with water for 2 month and its gross. i rather wash my hair every 2 day and feel clean. but you do you
Hogwash. Shampoo is not needed. Diet is important to prevent dryness. Same with body odor. Carnivore eating and new shampoo created the healthiest hair I’ve had in 65yrs
It works, it gets grease at first but give it a few weeks and we good. Also it is true that it strips the hair of oils. And the way you see it with the cons you "would" have meens that you should probably try it as well
Good video, wish it was uploaded sooner 😭 I tried no shampoo for like 2-3 months with fine wavy hair, it made my hair super oily and flat. Back to shampoo and conditioner 😂
@@Cole_Bussell its both. both of them have no scientific evidence. yet the no poo, has the testimonies of every person that tried it. true, it wont work for everyone. but it worked for some ppl. and apparently that number is high. so this evidence can cause a scientific research to prove it later, some time in the future. but the no poo proved to be working. just think about it, before the invention of shampoo, ppl had hair, and in good health too. some cultures relied on oil and water only, and they had the best hair. does that mean that shampoo is bad? no. it has its benefits for some, but the cons are sometimes larger than the pros for others. therefore its better to just abandon it. that was my case. im in my 4th month of no shampoo, and its actually better. i use conditionner and from time to time natural oils such as coconut oil, to keep it healthy. the excess of shampooing is a real threat and many did experience it. so to push the idea that "no poo" is HORRIFYING is honestly a lie, or clickbait. each of the two have their own pros and cons and its up to you to choose what you want.
You criticize these "experts' saying they are no experts but guess what? YOU are no expert as well. So why should you listen to them... ok so then why should we listen to YOU? Go ahead and use chemicals in your hair. The shampoos that strip natural oils and then use conditioner chemicals to ADD synthetic oils. Yup makes sense.
If you need a bunch of chemicals on your body to make it clean and smell goodyou probably have some deeper issue then some dandruff

I totally agree!

What about conditioner
Be clean and feel clean are not the same

Yeah man I think my hair would die if I tried no shampoo😂
I shampoo my hair every 2 days 👍🏿👍🏿
based
you can use egg
I Invented No-pooing
Rinse thoroughly, then dry, if needed add moisture; Such as Argan oil.
Overdramatic and your stance has no backbone/scientific evidence
other way around. no-poo has no scientific evidence. just individual testimonials

@@Cole_Busselldid our ancestors use shampoo?
Science is rooted from observation and if you deny others’ observation, it is jot scientific. This applies to either side of the discussion.
