Honestly Kayn interactions are super disapointment. Doesnt speak to Zed and when actually transforming it still triggers Kayn voicelines instead of Rhaast or Shadow Assasin.
The leveled up form triggering kayn's voice instead of the other two's is probably a bug

A very endearing and humane god-figure for fiction. He clearly thinks that immortals meddling with mortals is wrong and he wants no part of it anymore to not make things worse for the world.

Kayn actually was inspired by Sasuke Uchiha.
They wanted to become something more. They wanted to rule the world. You can say that because of reason X or Y but Rhaast isnt wrong.
