The stone pier is 520 yrds long and was built in 1846. Was going to be 800 yards long but they ran out of money! Cost approx £68,00 in todays money. Incase any one is interested. Good fishing spot too. Thanks for taking the time to post these vids.
Just found you! I've struggled to find local info - for a major Sea port there doesn't seem to be many Sea anglers here? looking forward to more of your films. The gun emplacements (I'm told) date back to the Napoleonic wars and the Stone Pier was built to stop ships sailing under the trajectory of the cannons
Yes there’s not many about locally our plan it to do a video every Saturday morning so stay tuned for that, thanks for the info on stone pier very interesting and would make sense 😃
Pleased you explained about the mark, as you were walking on in the into I was thinking hope the tide is on the ebb, enjoyed video just subscribed, tight lines🦈
Great video guys. Thanks for uploading and sharing the mark. I'd like to give it a go at some point. Just subscribed. Wish you the best of luck on your channel.👍
If you fish straight on from the tip, there is a dip there, about 60-80yards away, if you cast in that deeper spot you can catch decent size whiting and dog fish. Towards the lighthouse flatfish and smaller whiting knocking about, towards Felixstowe port you can catch massive whiting, but you got to cast it at least 100yards away:/ The best fish usually comes in on ebb about 2 hours from the top of the tide
I wont mention the name but is that your boat moored at a marina across the water from Harwich? if so the last time I was there a few months ago there were some huge Mullet in the lock, do you ever fish the marina?
@@ReelTherapyFishing Titchmarsh is full of mullet too in the summer and the Walton basin. They are a right pig to catch though. Bread is the preferred bait.
