soopa doopa I read this trick somewhere else a long time ago and it's been the easiest way to teach passengers without confusing them, just look over my shoulder in the direction I'm turning, like a dance just follow my lead that way their body more naturally moves with you, cause I felt both when the passenger fights the lean and sometimes an over zealous one will lean TOO MUCH. But as others have mentioned I think this dude mostly had a mental error. Especially since he's done this multiple times already with the passenger. I've had a passenger unsettle the bike mid turn before, it's usually best to just re-focus and push that bar to get it to lean as much as possible rather than panick and sit the bike up straight which I've almost done solo in the past myself, it was a mental error, it happens. At least they were both geared up and ready for it 😃

Simply no, this didn't cause the crash. Her leaning with him would simply reduce the lean angle - but if you look closely the bike had like only 35° lean angle max - which is nothig for a sport bike. The rider was just scared of his cornering speed and started to brake, which forced him to pick a bigger radius. If you look even more closely you can also see that he didn't look on the road but at the point he was going to crash. Passengers not hanging off the bike is NO DEAL at all!

Some of them where familiar to sit on the passenger seat, some of them not. Of course it makes a difference if the passenger leans with you or not, but the crash here could have been easyly avoided by the rider. I'm telling you: The girl in the video did nothing wrong. it was the passenger's fault. riding a bike as a passenger takes some skill too. you have to lean in with the bike, but she was leaning against the bike(probably to see i front) preventing it to turn. My advice to you when you take passengers is to never lean that much (slow down more before curves) and tell the passenger to hold his her hands on the gas tank.

I seen a lot of comments about him “checking on the bike first” so people really not know to turn the bike off? While it’s not extremely common it is very easy to leak fuel which vaporizes right above a hot exhaust. If she was injured you don’t want to add fire to the mix.

In the first seconds i saw the monkey on teh backseat doesnt lean into the corne and lift the bike to the different way. Good Job. Thats why i prefer riding solo

my passenger on my channel actually moved with me. proof is in the pudding... her not moving definitely messed up the geometry of the bike. both his and her fault...
Simply no, this didn't cause the crash. Her leaning with him would simply reduce the lean angle - but if you look closely the bike had like only 35° lean angle max - which is nothig for a sport bike.
The rider was just scared of his cornering speed and started to brake, which forced him to pick a bigger radius.
If you look even more closely you can also see that he didn't look on the road but at the point he was going to crash.
Passengers not hanging off the bike is NO DEAL at all!
+HighRider have you ever ridden 2 up? it makes a huge difference if the passenger doesn't lean. I speak from experience
Of course mate! :D Do you think I just made this up? I'm riding for more than 6 years now and went on huge trips several times with several girlfriends. Some of them where familiar to sit on the passenger seat, some of them not. Of course it makes a difference if the passenger leans with you or not, but the crash here could have been easyly avoided by the rider. I'm telling you: The girl in the video did nothing wrong. She even leaned into the corner, what she didn't do was hanging of the bike - which by the way isn't even necessary. Trust my, I'm a deamon on wheels, I now what I'm talking about ;) :D
+HighRider we agree on the leaning off, the rider was mainly at fault but the passenger didn't help. I've been riding 11 years. To each their own. nobody knows everything lol

it was the passenger's fault. riding a bike as a passenger takes some skill too. you have to lean in with the bike, but she was leaning against the bike(probably to see i front) preventing it to turn. My advice to you when you take passengers is to never lean that much (slow down more before curves) and tell the passenger to hold his her hands on the gas tank.
