    These are great set of brushes.
    But as a complete beginner (and so many brushes to choose from) - I struggle to know which/when to use.
    It would be great if the video included an indication of what brushes were used (maybe as a caption or in the summary)

      Hi Nick! Sorry for the late response. And it seems I need to create a sheet with the brushes specified here. ;)
      For a while I'm going to describe this, although I painted this about a year ago, so not all the brushes I can remember exactly for now. So, this is the version 2.01 used here.
      So, I started with a brownish underpainting, using 🟠On-Canvas|Liquid Filbert Pressed (with Hard Light layer blending mode). All the next steps were made on a new layer(s) in Normal mode. Then I started blocking out the main volumes with 🟠On-Canvas|Wide Fast Wet Bristle, 🟠On-Canvas|Dry/Wet by Pressure, 🟠On-Canvas|Kolinsky Dillutive Pointed, etc.
      Painted the background base using the brushes from 🟣RELIEVO category, just trying them one by one.
      And then went to more soft brushes, working on the wall and white table (1:00 - 2:00), here I used 🟡VOLUMES|Soft Stiff Round Bristle, 🟡VOLUMES|Uni-Purpose Fan/Filbert, and lower till 🟡VOLUMES|Poor Thick Weasel.
      That thick impasto brush strokes on the tangerines (2:30) are made with 🟡VOLUMES|Soft Stiff Round Bristle. In the version 3.0 there appeared one more similar effect brush, just under this one. And the highlights on the tangerines are applied with 🔥IMPASTO|Fechine's Hyper Detailing (the last one in the 🔥IMPASTO group).
      This nice volumetric yellow stroke near the teapot corner (at 2:39) is laid using the 🟡VOLUMES|Bumped Angular Contraster brush.
      So, hope it will help! Anyway, I'd advice to try out all these brushes to get about all of their properties, to successfull use them while working on various artistic tasks.
      Sincerely,
      Eldar

    Hey there :]
    been using the perfect oils in photoshop for years now and I was wondering if I should also get them for procreate. Thing is, this app doesn't have Mixer brush as is photoshop, and I mainly work with that. I mean the "real" mixer brush not the blending thing to smudge colors together.
    I was just wondering how would these brushes behave and if there was a possibility to achieve something as close as the MBrush.
    Thanks :]

      Thank you! When working on such a sketchy painting, I prefer to use about 2-3 layers - one for imprimatur and underpainting or pencil/charcoal sketch and the second one for painting, and sometimes, working on a detail, for example, a face or some important object, I can add one more layer. However, I usually aim for a useful minimum of layers, especially when imitating oils. So this provides more opportunities for obtaining better results because when working with real paints on canvas, we have only one surface with which any of our strokes interact.

    • @Ldarro

      This is very simple. Firstly you have to work for several years with traditional media, then spend a lot of time in digital. Then you can get down to create the brushes for yourself, just to make your work more comfortable and pleasant. In some years you'll have enough of what you found and created.

    Just bought these brushes- they’re quite nice but I’m seeing a lot of white pixels around the stroke. Maybe my image size is too small- what resolution do you recommend working in? I’d love to see an in-depth tutorial on how you use them to achieve your results :)

    • @Ldarro
      @Ldarro  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you for your purchase! In general, in version 3.0, these artifacts - which for me personally act as small highlights on the glossy surface of the paint - are significantly leveled compared to version 2.01, which is also included in the set. The canvas size I usually use is about 4000-6000px on the long side, assuming a subsequent reduction of 1.5-2 times. Thank you!

    • @Ldarro
      @Ldarro  2 роки тому

      @@popeskill Sure, many brushes of OnCanvas, Volumes, Impasto, and other categories have such a dependence: when low pressure, they blend paints, and with higher pressure, they have an opaque stroke. Some of the brushes don't have such a property; it depends on the current brush behavior. Indeed, this won't work on iPhones, because only iPad (pencil, of course) has pressure sensitivity.
