Although the cores and the skeletons are gone, the yellow mushrooms will respawn. Good cheap portal system in the beginning is ; having only 1 portal at home, and 1 at each destination, and just rename the one at home to whatever you gave the destination one you want to go to. (Make sure you see it actually switch, as it retains portaling capability towards the old destination a few secs.)

If you kill the boss again, you can get its head trophy again and put it on an item stand as decoration. Also, if you found a bunch of skeletons in 1 area, they're either guarding a Burial Chamber or a Stone Building.

The Stag power only reduces stamina consumption for running and jumping, not fighting. Once you can make bronze nails you'll be able to craft wall mounted item holders. Place some trophies on them to boost your comfort level. Same thing with decorative elements like carpets, throne(iron nails) and furniture. As for beating bosses a second time they will drop again a trophy that you can place in your home to complete a trophy collection if such a thing appeals to you. You can build the kiln and run a couple loads of wood through it. Then break it down (you get everything back) and use the cores for the smelter. It’s a pain but it works.
