Mannnn unfortunately I know this feeling too well.. always crowded where I’m from.. just got a ding from someone duck diving into the tail of my board while I was calmly sitting in the lineup.. But 2:35 takes the cake!
I have honestly had the most frustrating surf ever there. Hardly catching a wave. Freezing by the end and just frustrated. Not sure its only the crowds but also the wave is shifty and not easy to be in the right position. Those old dudes had to be super frustrated by that point. Thats why they just got up right infront of u.
Yeah it can be super shifty sometimes. But when you catch it on the right day there are actually 2 main peaks with an occasional 3rd that’ll come in off to the side. But when it does get shifty, that’s when surfer’s etiquette seems to be less apparent in the water 😅 still a fun spot though!
Most of the waves on that day were breaking on the inside but every now and then a bomb would come out back. Unfortunately, because it was so busy, it meant that the wave ended up being filled with people trying to paddle over it.
