I really appreciate the short but focused approach you’ve taken this video - I’m excited to delve into deuces wild with more confidence the next time I play.
I have a question about a perticular hand. Let's say if you were dealt a Full House but with 1 duece and two pairs. Would it be precieved to be more valuable to hold the duece with a pair and expect to recieve a 4 or 5 of kind or accept the full house?
I know nothing about video poker. I play table games and i am a Vegas regular. I have been told by others on UA-cam channels that Deuces Wild is the hardest to play and if you don't know what you're doing, you don't know what you don't know. I kinda like it and would actually choose it over the others games. What are your feelings about the difficulty of Deuces Wild for a novice like me (even tho I'm a seasoned gambler).
Deuces Wild is fairly easy if you remember to *_never discard a deuce_* and divide up the strategy chart into 5 "mini" charts: 1. Four Deuces 2. Three Deuces 3. Two Deuces 4. One Deuce 5. No Deuces The vast majority of the time, you will only have one or no Deuces.
Hi I’m maybe converting from blackjack. I’ve NEVER payed poker. Quick question is deuces wild significantly harder to learn than jacks or better? Are they similar enough?Trying to decide if it justifies the .19% gain. Either one will be an improvement over 2.352%
Deuces Wild strategy is not too hard, but it is going to be different than jacks or better. I typically recommend that players new to video poker start off learning jacks or better and then branch out from there.
Deuces can be "easier" than JoB because there are no "high cards" and you can divide the strategy chart into 5 "mini charts" based on the number of Deuces in your initial hand.
In Deuces Wild and other gambling games, the "point of the game" is to make the play that has the highest *_Expected Value,_* or EV. Often, holding 2 to a Royal has a higher EV than discarding all cards.

@@dominiqueguthery578 You should always hold a full house. 👍

Great tips!! I got three out of four right! 😁
Why did I read this as misspelled. Took me a minute to figure this out, just think how long it took for me to learn deuces
In the 1st example with 2 pair isn't it better to hold 77 than JJ? Jacks have one less card to make a straight.
It’s not even possible to make a straight when holding a pair.
@@ClubMikeV good point
It's impossible to make a Straight from a held pair.

keep the 2 duces. It's already a winning hand. Go big! Growing up in Reno and working for IGT. I know a wee bit
Thank man! I've been playing it wrong. Maybe I can win my money back....
im more confused now than ever
That's not even much to talk about
You're completely wrong.
You do not hold two pair.
In NSU Deuces Wild, the correct strategy is to hold two pairs.
You're wrong again.
You do not hold two to a royal in deuces wild.
The point of the game is to get four deuces, not have 2/5 royal cards.
