Went to website but everything is in Finnish so don’t understand anything. I see no way to add USA in the drop down countries. Can USA people order from them?? Thanks
Hi, if you click the arrow next to the Finnish flag on top of the page, you can then choose the English flag, which opens up the English version of the site. The web shop is currently only available for orders in Finland. Here is a list of our retailers in the U.S.: kupilka.fi/en/retailers/?countrie=1077. Amazon is also another option. Cheers, Jaakko/Kupilka
Congrats on your annaversry. I am still single but with plenty of time to go. I still enjoy the great out doors and i am putting together my camping and hiking gear. I have decided to start hiking again as my chiro suggested me to gowalking and i decided why not go hiking again as camping and hiking go together, i decided to do it as it will give me another activity and i am still able to. when that happeds, i will be making vedios and start a channle. will keep you up to date. Gerard.
Congratulations to you and your lovely wife for 37 years together Mark, that is quite a milestone! Best wishes for many more happy and healthy years together
㊗️🎉Congratulations!🎉㊗️ On your 38th anniversary 🎊🎉🥂🎉🎊 I have both size mugs: larger one is my favorite, smaller one is too small for coffee or other uses.
Thank you very much. I prefer the larger mug as well. The only issue with it is that it is too large to use easily with my AeroPress, but I can live with that😅Thanks for commenting
That's a beautiful set of dishes. I like the idea of using the back of the plate as a cutting board, perhaps with a sheet of polyethylene as a shield. Congratulations on the 38 years. Treasure the gifts from your lovely wife. I also enjoyed today's Japanese Doctor's YT video: Japanese fishing bushcraft in early autumn
Congrats on 38 Mark. We just made 36 this August. Lovely line of eating/drinking items I’ve never heard of. What brand shirt you wearing buddy.? Good job.
Happy wife, happy life. Well done Mark! I have been looking at these cups but don't know how I fell about the 50/50 plastic/wood thing. The closest I have to these is the older (non-folding) plastic mess kit cups from Sweden, they are held around the body as the handle is short.
Congrats on 38 yrs. My wife and I just hit 31 yrs on Aug 4. Nice collection of Kupilka. I dropped my cup on concrete once & I was sure it was going to break when it hit but this thing just bounced, tough stuff 👍🇨🇦
Congratulations on your 38th wedding anniversary, our 38th will be this coming January. I like the look and durability of those pieces. I've been interested in a Kuksa but now am thinking this is the way to go. Thanks for the video. Cheers Mark.
Congratulations to you both on your 38 year milestone. Glad you made this video as I had noted you drinking from the cup in previous video's. How about the drinkability, the feel & sensation when you drink from the cup? I find that different materials & shape of the lip contribute to the overall drinking experience. With plastic, silicone & metal not giving as a rewarding hot drinking experience as say fine china or a cold drink from glass.
Thank you for your kind words. Drinking from a Kupilka is as near perfect as can be. Coffee stays warm, the cup feels warm but not hot and the edge is very comfortable to drink from. Thanks for commenting
I really like the cup and already have one. I'm mostly ultralight backpacker, but I really enjoy my hot drinks. So I just have to have cup that nice to drink from, and like you said, has some insulation properties for cold seasons.
Greetings from Finland! You can modify them for sure, seen some people cutting and sanding off the handle on the 55. I got a 21/55 combo for father's day on special sale on Kupilka webstore. I really like the darker "kelo" color
Great video. Thanks Mark. Do you have any videos on how you wrapped you Kupilka collection with parachord wrap? They look amazing and love how functional they are. Thx.
Glad you liked the video. I have not made a video on how to do the wrap but it is a basic paracord bracelet called the Solomon bar but done around the handle. Thanks for commenting
Sir I think we can wash the products of this brand with organic dishwashing liquid of the brand Sonett. Organic German products. Thanx for this insightful video🤩
As a Divorced man in his 50s, I applaud you for your perseverance and choosing the right Woman. MGTOW I am working on getting my Kit together for being self sufficient. Wokism and the de evolution of modern society tells me to get outside and on my own. I watched your video to learn more about these plates and how they hold up to knifes and cutting action. Two thumbs up on your video
Right on Keep moving forward. I have since learned that the Kupilka material can be sanded to remove any scratches. Hope this helps. Thanks for commenting
Great question. The AeroPress does fit the smaller mug but not the larger. I have effectively placed two sticks across the top of the larger to support the press. Thanks for commenting
Kupilka can be sanded! I sanded my cup with 3000 grit wet/dry sandpaper on the inside and finished it with polishing compound. It's like glass inside and is quite easy to clean now. Nothing sticks unless I leave it overnight or something stupid . But it now washes right out with a rinse of water.
I love the kuksa I made and am about to make another. My only concern is dropping them and having them crack. Not a concern with the Kupilka. Thanks for commenting
@@chriscon8463 green birch if I can find a piece large enough. I have some year old but still good red maple I am going to see if I can get a good piece out of. Issue is finding a large enough piece, at least 8" -10" in diameter to split in half. I can't see myself cutting down a living tree just to make a kuksa so I half to wait and find a fresh windfall
Just a comment. Wind chill is irrelevant to inanimate objects. It’s an imaginary number to estimate how fast we lose heat. Just one of those things that gets on my nerves 🙂 If you ever have a garage sale, for the love of god, please let me know!!!!

Thank you very much. Honestly, the feel of the cup is neither wood nor plastic. I do like my wood kuksa but prefer to use the Kupilka.
Congrats on your anniversary! My wife and I have been married 55 yrs. I always enjoy your videos. Please keep them coming.

Do you think something like a trangia kettle would nest ontop of the bowl?
I don't have a Trangia kettle but did measure the bowl at 147mm inside at the top and 125mm inside at the bottom. Hope this helps
@@MarkYoungBushcraft thanks pal! I might just sneak into the store with my kettle and see if it fits 🤣
Does the Aeropress fit on either of the 2 cups?

Brilliant, that was just the question I wanted answering too - I just can't go camping without my Aeropress!

1996 not 1775 but yeah. Hence some of their items being “20th anniversary” (to 2016). Nice stuff still. Good idea with the cords and toggles.

Thank you Sir.Regarding using plate as a cutting board I would use the bottom of the plate to avoid scratching it inside. 🖐🤠🏕
Yes, good suggestion. I have also learned that if they do get scratched they are quite easy to repair with sandpaper. Thanks for commenting
