I picked up a bike for a customer from Dave a few weeks ago. I had no idea where I was going, boy was I in for a surprise. Not only was Dave a gentleman but it was a real pleasure to meet such a legend. He was generous and helpful, assisted with loading the bike and gave me a couple shirts. 10/10 great dude.
I bought a Morris M5 magneto for my 1978 Harley shovelhead. Dave and his team are a great to deal with. I recommend the Morris magneto to any Harley rider. I will be installing a Morris Magneto on my 2006 Electra Glide next. A#1 product. 👍
To me, there is no better ignition system than a magneto. When a battery dies on a fuel injected, electronic ignition bike, chances are, the bike ain't going anywhere. All the new-fangled stuff has its place but I'm not a fan of it. Too many things can go wrong with electronic ignition systems and they are harder to work on. A good old fashioned mag, like you said, will get you home even without a battery. God bless you brother. P.S. Not to mention, if you forgetget your lighter, you can still light your cigar.
I ran a Morris Magneto on my dirt late model stock car in the early 80’s. Everyone told me it was costing hp to turn it. Well I can tell you it made a lot more hp than it lost. When I first bought it I took it to my engine builder to test. When she ran that thing up to about 8500 rpm it looked like an old Frankenstein movie that thing had fire flying everywhere. You all take care and stay safe.I wish I could have afforded a dino pull back then to see the numbers to rub in their faces lol.I’m sorry that was a Vertex magneto.
I have a 1974 harley davidson had to fix the magneto .... my question is the spark plug wiring not sure witch wire goes to what cylinder or does it make a difference??? thank you
I got a question. My magneto is brand new and I try to turn by hand like I do to test all my old ones, but this thing is pretty damn hard to turn and I really don’t know why. Never seen one do this before. Any thoughts? It’s a burkhardt tach drive style for 71-80 ironheads
Great product but the prices are well beyond what I expected. When a magneto costs more than the engine rebuild I have to wonder what is wrong, is the engine done right or is the magneto overpriced. Engine runs excellent with fantastic power. Don't know about the magneto because I just can't see $3400 for a magneto
Morris sells quality stuff, I have bought items from them and talked to them on the phone. But shipping charges are way to high so you better get everything you need on the first order. Example, if you buy a small $12 part they will charge $16 to ship it! So a $12 part costs you $28 dollars!

You can see in your face how much pride you have in those Magneto's. ❤️
