Always teaching and happy to learn about the geology from the Pacific North West! Thanks again Nick for the lesson…The very amazing landslide that created the Bridge of the Gods!!
Ahh, this all comes together and makes sense to me. Bretz noted that the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge was softer and this is what he meant, I’d forgotten. Hope I'm not driving on 84 or 14 when it happens again! thanks for the reminder.
I was hoping that there would be mention of the possibility that the great quake dated just previous to the 1700 quake could have caused the break, and there was. Other reputable sources have suggested that the lake was only 200 feet deep before the breech occurred.
Nick there was a PBS Be Smart video and tons of people in the comments were talking about you and your YT channels, it was great to see

One of my favorite professors at Central. I still run into him, occasionally.
Nick is why I love Geology.
I loved Geology long before Nick came into my life, BUT, it's been even more enjoyable since I've found him 💜☺️
