He is cutting train and bus services as well as intending to increase the fares massively- this has nothing to do with pollution, it is a TAX. Scientists from the universities in UK have found that the pollution by cars is minimal now and that the major pollutant now is from the buildings in London themselves - air con!!!!!
Where I live the pollution is absolutely from vehicles, lots of toxic diesel pollution. First Tory, now Labour, the council makes traffic planning changes that dump the traffic in the residential side streets. And all those committed shoppers who drive in from the 'burbs, poisoning our children and us, parking under our windows and keeping the engine running because it is cold.
It also speaks volumes that the Mayor has put significant resources into getting ready to activate the ULEZ expansion before he ‘knew’ of the outcome of the consultation
The consultation response revealed issues that TfL moved towards addressing by making changes to the ULEZ proposals. A consultation is not a binding referendum. Not even the Brexit referendum was that.

This happens with pretty much every 'public' consultation the government ever does. In my area the south-east due to mass immigration and ever increasing overspill from London we see large housing developments put up for public consultation a lot - every person in the local area is against it - yet it is always approved with slight modifications to the original plan. it was the same with HS2. Public consultations are used only as a legal cover , they are always manipulated in favor of the proposed development. If the council/government want it to happen, doesn't matter what the public think. Plenty of brown envelopes are passed around at council meetings - we all know this.
If we don't get people like him out of power then we are quite simply done for .why do we let all these foreigners get into positions of power in government in the first place 😬😬😬😵😵😵
The Tory governments have over time reduced the power of people in local democracy, so there is a strong bias in favour of developers. But the population did not bother to fight the Bills that went through parliament that did this to them. You have to be vigilant if you want democracy to survive, and make your voices heard in huge numbers via MPs and the media. No good complaining now, when the horse has bolted and the stable door shut. Is anyone bothering to lobby Labour about reversing that loss of local democracy?
@@lifeinlondon639 The majority of the country voted for Brexit and then the majority of MP's did everything possible to stay in - democracy in this country is broken - most MP's are only there for a career and couldnt give a hoot about the constituency they represent - Rishi Sunak a local to Yorkshire - I think not.

"Do you want more children to get bad lungs?" "Do you want children to die?" "If you answered 'yes' to any of these, you must support ULEZ"
I was honest and said I wasn’t bothered about children getting ill. When I wake up each day my list of concerns doesn’t include hand wringing over the possibility of children dying from bad air .

@@sofiya9212 Tell me about it- it takes at least 10 minutes for a fast walker like me(for an average walker probably 15-20 mins) to get to any public transport, some of them only come one in 30 mins(!) so my particular area is basically built for car owners in mind even though they could've easily added an extra bus route on the main road near my place. And never mind the 2 of us, my previous place in Mitcham has only either an unpredictably inefficient bus route(the 200) or the tram nearby, and more than half the time I had to walk 20 mins to Colliers Wood tube station if those 2 transports can't come soon enough! I don't think national government has that power. They just try to stymie Khan and Labour by tightening the purse strings.
The government must act to stop this BS
Tyranny, not democracy? Vote him out at the next election instead.
He is cutting train and bus services as well as intending to increase the fares massively- this has nothing to do with pollution, it is a TAX. Scientists from the universities in UK have found that the pollution by cars is minimal now and that the major pollutant now is from the buildings in London themselves - air con!!!!!
This climate thing is the new cash machine for the Elites & Politicians...
Excuse to up charges & tax on everything
Yes , the camera night elves been putting them up.
While the masses are sleeping.
I seen them popping up all over Ealing and other places on traffic light's etc.
Hi Marxist masters of the WEF and UN pull their strings.
If it makes things worse then ask yourselves why are they doing it
Control.. along with digital IDs and cryptocurrencies..
You'll own nothing and be happy...✌❤
Forget all this smoke and mirrors BS, the ULEZ charge will happen, then towns will introduce them and it will cost a fortune to drive from one place to another and you won't be able to drive round them to avoid paying. THEY WANT YOUR CARS AND YOU OFF THE ROADS.
That’s correct
And that is the only reason he is initiating the first phase.Get us all off the road and turn us into a third word country.
maybe he would be more comfortable with that.
Corruption at its best
I’m sure the public will find a way of dealing with this, especially as he intends to install them in Surrey.
They did it to us in lewisham and no one stopped him infact he was voted back in let's face it London is finished its time to leave and pray that some one builds a wall around it to stop it infecting the rest of the uk with lies
He has no governance outside of the GLA boroughs .
@@coling7819 but all the councils will go ahead with it
After buying my car, pay road tax, parking fees, I am told again to pay for the climate or get a new car. They want to ban petrol n diesel cars by 2030 yet manufacturers still produce them. What's going on?
In a word RIP OFF
We are all sheeps 🐑 in their eyes 👀
Hold us for ransom with this climate change thing make us feel guilty .... Well I don't ...The guilt should be on them The Elite's (WEF, WHO & the governments)
I chose not to drive because I could not bear to poison people with toxic exhaust fumes and tyre particles.
It would be terrible if people where to mess with the cameras that record number plates..........................
Captain Gatso is coming back!👍
This proves that you can pollute in London if you are rich enough to pay
Exactly
This should be the headline feature on the BBC news but we all know that it won’t even get a mention. 😩
Problem with the press, an ex PM has a glass of wine and cake at his birthday 'party', it's all over the place, news, papers, Internet. Mayor of London committing fraud, nothing.
The dead bbc is far more corrupt than this globalists criminal
Let the people in the new proposed ulez areas have the vote to elect the mayor of London seeing how he wants to govern outer London.
💯
They already have that vote. That is how Labour came to power in the GLA. The Mayor is part of the Greater London Authority. They have elected representative Assembly Members who are part of the Assembly. They can email, write to, their AM.
"It doesn't matter who does the voting, it's who does the counting". Joseph Stalin.
Who on earth would vote for something, that costs you more each day
That's why the opinion polls went to ask kids who don't drive lol
It is the victims of the polluting drivers who vote for ULEZ maybe?
I did respond to the "consultation" and it was definitely weighted to persuade you to support ULEZ. It asked questions like "Do you want children to breathe clean air?" "Do you want more children to get bad lungs?" "Do you want children to die?" "If you answered 'yes' to any of these, you must support ULEZ"
Proves it even more that it was rigid from the outset
@医生G
Surely you mean if you answered "NO" ?
I was honest and said I wasn’t bothered about children getting ill. When I wake up each day my list of concerns doesn’t include hand wringing over the possibility of children dying from bad air .
By ‘very good politician’ does he mean that he’s good at spinning , deflecting, never speaking a word of truth and basically talking bs 24/7? Let’s not forget greed and looking out for his own interests.
The next Liebor party leader? Just wait and see ,he is qualified enough.
Please god he doesn’t get in for another term. If he wins, he should be full investigated as I’m still trying to find people who voted him in for this 2nd term! I have not found one person
Rigged
It was probably a fixed election. That snake couldnt have possibly won an election on merit.
People voted Labour. Lots of people. You must live in an exclusively Tory enclave!
He can only serve 2 terms back to back, but no doubt someone equally as useless, corrupt and morally questionable as him, will be being prepped by zee Labour Party as we speak.
Get rid of the mayor get him OUT
this comment is for the algorithm
Being a "good politician" is not being able to deflect, move and swerve. Being a "good politician" is being able to deliver on promises and delivering for your constituents that voted for you. The word politician has been warped and skewed just like "safe and effective"!
I WONDER IF WE WILL EVER GET A POLITICIAN THAT CAN ANSWER QUESTIONS WITH A STRAIGHT FORWARD ANSWER..
...we'd certainly all get more done in a day if we did!
Khan should be taken to the High Courts and personally found guilty of corrupt and illegal practices and removed from office with immediate effect, and all policies passed under his tenure deleted.
How can a Mayor of London decide on the ULEZ in other areas. This is impacting on my family in Kent. I’m discussed with it. It should never go ahead.
He probably is a member of WEF.
He should be made to reign.
One has to have a perfect memory when one is a serial liar.
Someone needs to chop all these cameras down the whole bloody lot !!!!
how?
@@bigmouthstrikesagain4056 Petrol cutter would do and a rubber tyre over the control box full of diesel would permanently put it out of action 😂
Brill work .
The way this corrupt Mayor answers questions is truly disgusting, shocking. Rude, untrue, disinterested, inaccurate, unprofessional, disrespectful. Absolutely appalling!
I think the problem with Kahn is his idea of democracy is based on that cornerstone of a modern progressive democratic country ,Pakistan!!!
my concern is that anything that both left and right want to do is pushed through if it is in lock step with the WEF agenda. just look at immigration, CBDC, climate issues and censorship
I would never have suspected WEF members of being genuinely interested in cleaner air.
Isn't it illegal that Khan has acted with false pretences. WE SHOULD STOP HIM FOR IMPLEMENTING ULEZ. VERY UNFAIR.
I’ve never spoken to a single person that actually supports ULEZ expansion. I’m sure if there was a referendum on the matter the outstanding majority would vote against it
On such a radical change to people's way of life, why on earth is it not being put to a vote? They can vote for mayor, so the framework to vote on the restriction of freedom to movement exists.
Why of why is it not being persued??
Why all know why not !!!
Take the number plates off the car - there’s no Police on the streets to catch you 😅
Yes there to busy committing there own crimes and covering for eachother 👍
Sadiq needs to go, he can NOT be trusted. What else is he upto ??
and how exactly do you plan on doing that eh?.... no ones going to do anything....
This is common place in all councils. They give the public a consultation & then do what they were going to do any way. It's just a PR exercise.
This is fraud he must be put in prison
Give the people a REFERENDUM on these things .They change the way we live our lives and cost a fortune .We have a right to say no to these corrupt fools
I have already sent an email against the ULEZ proposal to all GLA members so far the returns are the same, unless you live in the borough and asking for my name and address to prove I'm a constituent, they cannot help. As I'm in a non- ULEZ my email, as I see it has been ignored.
Just don't pay the charge.
You can guarantee that "Will fit science", and results have been used.
Certain individuals should never have any type of governance.
If he has corrupted or influenced decision.
He should be fired immediately.
Absolutely right an outrage

Surveys and public consultations have literally no impact on anything the government wants done. I've never seen an example of it anyway. They just say "we have listened to the publics concerns"
And he will keep his job and nothing will happen, corruption seems to be legal now .
hi there dont mind me just passing through posting comments for the algorithm
Someone take him to court on behalf of Londoners asap.....
The traffic has gotten worse since 2020. They blocked all the sides road, so everyone drives on the same route causing congestion
So they have to pass a ULEZ scamera.......All Labour run councils are involved in this Scam.
all sounds very fraudulent thus far . he will carry on regardless.
I live in Surrey, and in April, I believe we can't use our cars if they are not electric or hybrid!!! If you do, you will have to pay 12 pounds if I remember correctly!!! This is outragus!!!!!
I also live in Surrey(Worcester Park/Epsom) and while I don't drive myself, my landlady's car will be banned by this October according a taxi driver acquaintance, and as I write this comment I saw a propaganda ad promoting ULEZ. In my area getting around efficiently without a car is very difficult. All this while TfL is being mismanaged and RMT rail strikes becoming more and more frequent. Khan doesn't care about us, his elite crowd is what matters to him!
@Josh Woods I'm with you! My family needs the car for work. Unfortunately, using trains is more expensive and takes hours! For example, my sister in law must use the car to reach her job because there is no public transport going there!
I for one don't mind walking when I have time(I don't use cars anyway), but for commuting ULEZ is absolutely detrimental, and could cause even more harm to TfL itself!
PS Whereabouts in Surrey are you based?

Sadiq Khan being dishonest! How can you even suggest it? 🤣
I live in Cheshunt (just outside the M25) and I took part in the consultation- it was sent to me via email by virtue of me being registered on TFL website to Auto-Pay ULEZ & congestion charge.
I responded - NO, do not extend the ulez zone.
Newcastle Gateshead had an almost parallel low emmision zone consultation process and also received a big NO!
They (reluctantly) accepted the decision.
King Khan, when given the same big NO has overruled the result! and thinks that the peasants won't revolt , following the pattern of its previous inner London ULEZ Empire expansion.
The southern kingdom of khan knows no bounds .
