What happened in the hills of West Virginia?

Back in the early 2000's we moved from New Jersey to a very small town in West Virginia, called Williamstown. When leaving Williamstown, you can take a road called Waverly Road.
Waverly Road is a lonely dark road, and that one night, my brother swears something visited them.
