The tour is only one way, so once you arrive in Sausalito your guide will give you 3 options:
You have a bonus bike rental after the conclusion of your guided tour, so you can stay with the bike and ride back at your own pace.
You can drop off the bikes at their Sausalito Shop,
Or you can ride back right after the tour ends (without a guided tour back) but you can follow the guide if you feel safer and don't feel like staying with the bike by yourself.

I ride my own bike across the Golden Gate Bridge both ways and rarely one way to Sausalito then take a ferry for a return trip to SF
