I bought myself an 03 Type S just a bit back, and I'm absolutely loving it. Par for the course on this model, I had to get some transmission work done, but it was definitely worth it.
Honda shot themselves in the foot sticking with FWD for so long. They could’ve been faster but the technology limiting torque steering was not available for them to increase power. The new Civic type R is a marvel of FWD engineering limiting torque steer. If only they had it back then.
I still have my 2003 TL still all original equipment too. 137,790 miles as of today
So many of these are still on the road
Probably still on the road with over 200000 miles and on it's 3rd transmission
shhh, my 99 3.0 accord is on its 1st transmission, at 177k and it's at the end of it's life. Rest of the car is totally fine.
He said that because the type s tl's in particular could shatter their transmission sitting still.
THIS COMMENT.🤣🤣🤣🤣
3rd at least! Them late 90's and early 2000's Honda trans were guaranteed to fail!
I’ve seen plenty of these on road today.
Great car of Acura TL, beautiful and solid car

Look at this fancy Honda Accord.
That's a compliment
@@smokesgtp not at all. The luxury arm vehicles should never so closely model the cheaper lines.
@@texan903 they don't share a body panel. That's as far as you're going to get. The Accord platform has always been excellent, especially today.
Literally lol
For that year, the TSX shared a lot with the Accord.
Mine is going strong at 225,000 miles
The fact that a Maxima and Altima challenged this in performance
Fact Nissan is junk is another topic
Acutra 3.2TRL is great, comfortable, solid and beautiful car
Why was Honda always modest with their tq?
Because it's front wheel drive and you'd get torque steer out the ass
