- UK hammered dulcimer player Tomos Brangwyn performs Chaharmezrab Nava by Iranian composer Faramarz Payvar (1933-2009). Performed on the Persian Santur.
The Iranian Chaharmezrab (literally '4 strokes') is a virtuosic and rhythmic compositional form that features a recurring monothematic motif interspersed with coruscating melodic displays.
Dastgah Nava is a seven tone mode that incorporates microtonal intervals.
