Don't remember exactly where it is in Job, but when G-D answers Job and asks, "where were you when I formed the earth" it makes me realize that I may never know the reasons for things that happen, but that G-D has reasons. I believe you covered it beautifully.
Elsa, I am a Core Leader for Community Bible Study Fellowship in Long Beach, California. I have been following you for the whole election cycle, and your humor with the Kamala parodies got me through it ! I looked forward to the light-hearted jabs, without being mean or unkind, and we could all relate to your personal and informative updates on the election. I mention my Bible Study because we will be going through the Book of Job in January. The Study Guide is excellent, and as I gleaned through it as a leader, I have been encouraged that thousands and even millions of Christians all over the world will be having an in-depth study on this very important book in the Bible. Your spiritual thoughts are very perceptive, and although this is supposed to be a "joyful" season, many people struggle with depression during the holidays. I pray your blog will bring hope, and peace to realize that God does allow suffering, and with the help of Jesus, this, too, shall pass! Have a blessed Christmas and keep up the wonderful presentations on your blog each week! In His love, Marlene Svensson, Long Beach, California.
I've come to learn life is a series of learning and sharing what we learn. He did learn some people will tear us down simply because they don't have the answers we expect.
2 more things I will add: God didn't bring destruction upon Job. That was satan. Which is how I think about it but matches what you say, sin wasn't the cause. And Job was an overcomer. His rewards are bigger in heaven also for eternity. Sounds like a win.
Yes, I’ve thought that also “ What have I done, Lord, to have to go through the things in life that I have gone through. Then I say okay Lord, I’m trusting you even though I don’t understand. Yes, that book in the Bible has always made me question “But why, God.”
Job is my favorite book of the Bible. What stands out to me is the realization I am only part of the created not the creator. Nothing exists God did not create. This book reveals who God is. It shows emotion, blessing and provides understanding with acceptance of having faith. Who am I to question the One who set everything in place for His purpose? Thinking about it that way builds my confidence and faith in God.
I don't begin to understand all or why, etc. God says his thoughts and ways are higher than ours. Job had greater riches in every way afterward. He had greater trust. He probably was very humble and had a wonderfully close relationship with God talking together daily. His wisdom increased. Job would have been a great help, supportive friend, and counselor to many. He was a man God could and would use.
Honestly, I think you related the story very well . Personally I am not the person to even begin to understand the when and why the Lord tested Jobe or Jesus in the wilderness. Although I do believe in God's time you will understand . 🙏❤️🙂
Maybe he would just shake the tree when wanting to chew some fruit and was not properly grinding it for better digestion and fruit takes longer to be digested or even his fax machine could have been blocked from producing anything for faxing you know the stick with two balls attached below it something like that I mean I never heard people say shaking trees is a sin but it is that's why the first lesson was about fruit and the garden of Eden
People always slam Mrs. Job so much; but. I don't. Just imagine Mrs. Job has lost all of her children too. Back in those days, a widow was the responsibility of the eldest son. She may have not been very wise; but, she did love her husband. She was willing to become a beggar on the street in order to see her husband pain free. She KNEW that if her husband died, she would have NOTHING! No children, no home, no money, no husband. In order for her to live she would have to become a beggar on the street, homeless, no family, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and yet in order to see her husband to be out of his misery, she was willing to go through that future just to see her husband out of pain.
I might over simplify this story and pull from other parts of the Bible. I sum up the story in three words. Trust in God. Job is hampered with nightmare after nightmare by Satan.. Job suffers and wonders what he did to deserve this turn of fate. God may test us but he won't ruin us on a whim. We will never know the reasons why most things happen. As part of God's people, we are taught to hand over burden's that we find too heavy and let God carry it and help out with a solution. We should always turn to God and Trust in him. We definitely don't want to be prideful and suffer in silence. Anyway, Job manages to get through Satan's attacks without disavowing his faith or God. God is ultimately pleased with Job and restores even more than Job lost enduring Satan's assault. (Sorry, I got in the weeds for a bit.)
Take it from someone whose best friend is a literal golden Soul from Heaven: You have to master 6 lives to attain the 7 (Heaven) A life of (lives of) Belief, Hope, Loss, Silence, SUFFERING, and Survival, in no particular order. You come back and try again and again until you master one of these tests, then move on to the next. Btw, JC will be back in 2034, the year of Lucifers war. Mankind will carry the mantra into the future: "remember the war of 34" Tribulation begins 2027. You're welcome. ✝
I agree with your points but my biggest struggle with the story is that if God is all powerful, and I believe he is, why does he feel the need to prove anything to anyone especially satan also if , and it’s a big if, satan was cast outta heaven how does he have a hotline to the big man??? Really doesn’t make a lot of sense at all unless the real story is satan if Gods prosecuting attorney then it all makes perfect sense
Just curious, Elsa…why are your captions displayed in this video spelling God with a lower case “g” and satan with an upper case “S”? And just to add, I think you explained the trials/laments and blessings of Job very well.
GOD would still be GOD without blessing Job at the end. Jesus himself suffered without sinning as well, and he learned reverent submission as a result of his suffering that the PERFECT Jesus needed to learn
It states we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spirits and principalities rulers of this dark world . There is a spiritual battle . God is our strength not us .

Thank you. I was searching in my mind trying to understand what I have done wrong to suffer so much in my life.

I highly recommend the book, "THE REMARKABLE RECORD OF JOB" by Henry Morris
Job chapter 38 is mind blowing, and then Behemoth and Leviathan.

bravo
Job 1-5 gives a clue unto Job and fear he allowed into his life
Remember well your darkest days,
of which there are many,
for all that follows is vanity
