We actually found Kevin's work online on his portfolio and loved it so much we asked if we could use his art style in the animated series. He said yes and even helped us separate the pieces for rigging. It was a fun and unique direction for us.

You can tell this was made with ow1 in mind because not only is doom still a DPS, bastion goes stationary turret, and mei can freeze again.
