Mia, dito sa abroad there is a place called the cold room. Usually located in the basement. That's where you keep the onions, garlic, squash, turnips, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and other root crops veggies. Cool dry room, that's where you keep your veggies for the whole winter or time of the year. The tomatoes and lemons, cucumbers, they stay their shelf life outside the fridge. Just Google them to keep your fruits and veggies just longer.
