The first two episodes are off to a great start! Now, I have high expectations for the show going forward. Blue Lock just might have even inpired me to look into the upcoming World Cup FIFA 22 Playoffs that are coming up next month
Imma be so honest, just on the the first 2 eps and a few manga panels, im more excited for this than Bleach, Chainsaw man and My hero. There is a vibe this sports anime gives like no over. Idk if its the rawness or the monster concept but I have a feeling its gonna be something special
@@Matt_2k33 I still enjoy the Manga rn but I really did prefer the middle part of the Manga bcuz currently isagi makes no goals and most of the time we're just reading isagi analyze the situation.
6:33 They get blacklisted from the Japanese national team, but they're not barred from playing the sport professionally. Nothing's stopping them from playing at the club level or representing a different country. Manga spoilers ahead: After the Blue Lock Eleven defeat the Japanese U20 National team, Blue Lock hijacks the new national team and Jinpachi becomes the coach. Some of the U20 starters are invited to join Project Blue Lock in order to try regaining their spots. The top 23 after the final selection will make up the new roster for the U20 National team, and they'll be the ones to compete in the U20 World Cup. I'm assuming Jinpachi keeps a list of the kids who were eliminated from contention. Since he's the one who picks the roster, he'll make sure the eliminated people are blacklisted from the squad, assuming that bit wasn't another "rational deception"
I've watched every episode so far and I love this anime so damn much! I can never wait for the next one. I don't even like sports anime and I look forward to this every week.
Blue Lock is not sending the message that teamwork is bad. It is sending the message that teamwork is not the essence of the game. The essence of the game is scoring and winning. That is what determines your results. And it just so happens that teamwork can be an excellent support tool to getting there. As demonstrated in later episodes of the series. But if you value teamwork as the essence of the game, then you have missed the point of the game, and you deserve to lose.
I really think it goes both ways with regard to teamwork. Teamwork will only take you so far... it means nothing if you lack the individual skill to be a threat.
I became obsessed with As the Gods Will (a battle royale type manga) while my lil bro was recommending me Blue Lock. One day I found out they're both from the same mangaka!!! I never ran to read a manga like I did for BL because I KNEW there would be straight hype, badass characters, no mercy. It's just the beginning and I am here for it.
8:15 fair opinion i like the honesty and ye chainsaw def has better animation, like if you watch all of it, but at the same time blue lock has soo many amazing moments later on, for me both shows are a 8/10 with chainsaw man getting held back by things I personally didn't like or find boring (+ CGI ofc) and blue lock getting boosted by the fun I had watching it every week, it that THE weekly event for me and my friends, in fact if it wasn't for my "gym bro" friend, haha, I wouldn't have known this existed (well I would of later due to the world cup eidts I seen but ye)
Seen both Blue Lock and Chainsaw man, and while chainsaw man has better animation in general (and less bad CG), I enjoy the animation of the hype moments in Blue Lock more. Those crazy eyes always get me.
am i the only one who just dont like it how they be animating the football matches? i like all other scenes its crip but when it comes to like running and the whole football match animation doesnt give me that feeling of excitment, is it gonna be better at some point since maybe they cut the budget there since its not that important of matches? in the last 5 minute of the first episode on tag game it was rly nice done its just when they on the field something seems off, doesnt give me kuruko no basket feeling.
Well they clearly call it Soccer in the anime itself. Don't know why you apologizing, different countries call it by different names. Japan, like the US, call it Soccer.
The ban thing for anyone that gets kicked out is just from the national team (which is managed by the people at the start of episode 2) so they can never participate in the world cup but they could still be recruited for stuff like Team Tokyo or the Olympics.
later on the do care about their teammates way more because, while they still got that "I HAVE TO SCORE" mentality, they realize they can't score goals entirely on their own and must rely on their teammates to create chemical reactions to make it happen
The Blue Lock Project focuses on what the Japanese National Team lacks- which is ego. They have teamwork figured out thanks to the society of Japan, but Ego believes that without that one egoistic striker that can lead the Japanese Team and convert its teamwork plays to goals, they will never win the world cup. That's why in this specific project, teamwork isn't the main focus but the individuals' ego or hunger to score goals and develop individual skills. With these individual skills, combining them with other players' skills creates a chemistry which becomes the foundation of teamwork. It's not like Ego just cares about ego and nothing else. Teamwork is still there, but it becomes the byproduct of combining individual skills together. His goal with the project is not just to create the #1 strongest striker, it's also for Japan to win the world cup, so teamwork is still important.

I wouldn't be surprised if the part where the eliminated won't ever get to play for Japan was just some elaborate ploy to make them more desperate.

It's not more than football, it's infact not a football. It's when you see a Mangaka utilizes nearly every trick to make a good shonen manga.
it's not even closely related to football
