This is most certainly Katrhyn Kuhlman and that is why this track was not officially released. Kuhlman's estate would not allow her voice to be used in this manner. I like both versions, but it's nice to have a document of the odd cadence of Kuhlman's voice.
by far the best song from the Bush album, although i never heard this version. I remember the Jezebels are lurking like the far forming touch-less times of the symbiont toxicity of spirits shimmering about the dead/living structured textures of being in the fabrics of reality.
@@charlesmoxham6960 I doubt Kuhlman would have succeeded in suing from the Great Beyond, had she even tried. Kuhlman died in 1976. As Gore stated, Kuhlman's estate wouldn't clear the recording to be used.
@@raymond.duncan I knew they were inhibited somehow from her, okay her estate - thanks for setting that straight - win win anyway - both versions are above and beyond - love the strident trumpets and more subtle/ silky approach on the original banned version … 🎶🔮🎶
@rexthesaurus "Terrifying, compelling and wonderful at the same time." So well put. There is a certain eerie, haunting, earthly yet not quality to this album that has caused it to stick in my head for all these years.
it's very difficult to listen to this and not have the final version somehow lingering or to think that the final version is actually a lot better because it's much more tight..... it remains a classic though
'My life in the bush of ghosts' is one of the greatest albums of the last century - truly innovative, utterly funky, totally original (I think!) notwithstanding the reference to Kathryn Kuhlman - and this track, The Jezebel Spirit, featuring mind blowing recordings from an exorcism (!!) is one of the best. Terrifying, compelling and wonderful at the same time. Listen to the album version to hear the Deep South type exorcist build up the tension!!!!

A serious re-working that sometimes suggests the still more sinister underneath of what Davis did on On the Corner. Great, I think, for the morning commute.
I love it when my ears prick up and I just have to go with the groove. Class !!......
Awesome....have never heard this....am old school Eno/Byrne fan...thank you.

Thanks for the upload, this is excellent!!!

I think there really are multiple realities here that go "unseen" in modern cultures ..--..
Wish I could give this seven stars.
I TAPED THIS OFF THEE RADIO IN THE OLD DAZE...THANX 4 POSTING THIS 1
quite likely not this version
Into the spirit wombat.
superior version
Cool. This is the original version that was entitled "Into the Spirit World" but they couldn't get clearance on the vocal.
she was going to sue

❤
the best song of Eno and Byrne for sure.
So many layers and the the final end with this incredible busy sounding bells. My favourite song for sure
the other version of this isnt on here anywhere surprisingly, i must say i like it better, but this is good too
wow. big 40yr fan of this album;
didnt know this, though!
the lore is fascinating....
@riversidefox Yeah I know, especially when they take place on a Carousel with the Knights of the Crusades galloping along.
@h92o
@pancniewatpliwie I think you mean "Into the Spirit World."
reminds me of my radical youth, mmmmmmmmm.
this isn,t a bootleg, it's the unfinished album version, with a different vocal track. the released version is much better
More fool them.
some one stole my cd i hate who ever did it
come out, demon of thievery and hate!! 🙃
They’ve got great taste though. Would you rather be friends with someone who took an Eno/Byrne cd from you, or someone who gave a BTS cd to you?
Thank you for sharing. I am less abonimable. And in rhythm 👹👯
Is it just me, or can you hear a Bowie influence here?
I've always seen this as a 'scary' piece. That's why I believe my imaginary god's better than your imaginary god!
this track will never get old ..is a master piece

The title of this song is "Into the Spirit World" not "The Jezebel Spirit" How many have caught this error?
Correct. In some sources referred to as “into the spirit womb” which may be an editing error.
Faith healers and exorcists are performers no more real than magicians or pro wrestlers and they know it.
you have no authority, either, trapped in your ignorance or its disbelief. I am a spirit.
You are a spirit of destruction.
@@pmarasa and a spirit of grief. good grief.
how cool and amazing you KNOW the truth about EVERY faith
healer and saint who ever existed. amazing.

this version is kinda creepier?

I am an exorcist for several years.
It truely is.........
The exorcist on the album track was Irish.
I so agree - the album is still set in the future of music
All glory to God.
Fear not.
Only believe.
holy moley, thanx for posting, this is it, what the heck is being said, i can not make it out? did it actually work? any info i can see
Is that Jon Hassell on trumpet?
incredible merge

Yes

@TheLittleMuc thank you , I first bought the LP in the 80's and bought the cd 5 years ago. Some bastard stole it at work
Dosnt sound like what ieve heard on "my life in the bush of ghosts"........ but scary, very scary
@riversidefox I know....during an eclipse in the eye of a category 5 hurricane! I smell reality show!
merci pour le morceau. Great track !
maybe a bush of ghosts took it?
thank you
thx!!!
Sounds like an entirely different performance? A different session, even?
because it is - this version was pulled because the exorcist was going to sue (I believe)
@RED PILL PORTAL I see - similar but different - either way have been spinning it for decades 👻🎧
Auf jeden Fall endgeil !!!
