WATCH: In a nail-biting match, AJ Basalo of Talisay City secured Central Visayas' second gold medal at the Palarong Pambansa 2024 boxing event held at the Cebu Coliseum on Monday, July 15.
Basalo emerged victorious over Davao Region's Miguelito Bantilan Jr. by a split decision in the electrifying light bantamweight junior boys category final.
Talisay City Mayor Samsam Gullas, who witnessed the intense bout, announced that Basalo will receive financial incentives for his remarkable achievement.
