Would looove to know the max speed while flying a hull. Totally in love with KC. May go cat live aboard in the not so distant future and KC def top of list.
Even better, tour the boat at your leisure via our 360º tours here: www.kineticcatamarans.com/tours We'll do our best to put together a narrated walk-through version of the next boat.
Hows the 40ft for solo sailing. Smaller prob better, but with all the automation and furling mains and forwards from the forward cock pit seems pretty doable??? Let me know. Cheers, Jock
@@billhanna8838 Given that they are performing sea trials I would assume they are tensioning and testing the rig. I am no expert though- I'm sure these people know what they are doing. I don't think I've ever seen a fiberglass cat lift a hull on purpose or for extended periods of time ?
@@zetetimm Just saying , Iv sailed a few cats /Try's 55Ft. Wing masts & hit well into the 20s , They were pushing her sure BUT i would be down below checking any movement particularly in a tack with that amount of slack . Loverly boat & impressive speed for a 'cruising' cat .
Beautiful, beautiful cat. Well done Kinetic. For the video part i can say just that probably is the best promotional clip for a performance catamaran and boats in general. Great image and beautiful soundtrack that really make that cat look like is going 100 miles/h. Balance, HH & Others should take notes regarding promotional clips. Very, very good.
A video with some narrative would be great. Get Toby Hodges from Yachting world or someone onboard. I'm interested to hear more about the rigging, inparticular the infurling booms as this is pretty unusual on Catamarans.
I really liked this model I tossed and turned between the 2 boats but the other edge it out due to certain factors and builds. If it not for those 2 things this would have been the boat to choose. Either case you can't go wrong with this boat.
Fantastic and inspiring video. "A" score on the speed of the boat and "A "score on the video capture and sound track!
Beautiful boat saw her in Knysna earlier in the year and she looked great and the paint job is gorgeous

She's beautiful, well done everyone at Kinetic!
Whoever shot and edited the video ain't half bad either.
That looks like so much fun!
amazing 💙💙💙
Just superb.
...... KC def top of list.
Do you have plans to make a 38 ft or thereabouts? That would suit me even better!
Would love to see a detailed walkthrough on the KC54 with someone explaining the boat.
have you been to the channel? loads of videos

Someone "explaining the boat": The explanation is: Carbon Fiber everything everywhere. No need to ask - super light and super strong.

Wooohooo!!!
Is it correct to say one only very seldom may have to go on top of the coach roof? For what purpose would that be? Just for repairs only?

Like the music
Hi there!! Is there a reason for not shaft drive and no daggerboards?
Shafts leak - centerbiards take up no space and they are on the centerline - just as good as daggerboards in this application
Beautiful Cat and massive stiffness to be able to lift a hull like that. Can't wait to own one :D
That leeward stay flapping in the wind > Stiffness or bending stress ?

SOG???
Wicked. I don't even have to ask. The answer is: Carbon Fiber everything everywhere.
TWS...SOG...?

I just see a typo in my comment below (@jockknots848): 40ft should of course be 54
