Greetings from Sleepy Hollow, NY where Halloween is forever even in the summer. When the sun blazes in the sky and makes us long for crisp autumn weather, the villagers of Sleepy Hollow & Tarrytown know that this signals that the next season is the most anticipated where the Horseman haunts the Hudson Valley. However, even when it isn't October, there is the anticipation that we call Summerween where jack-o'-melon glows and even the vampires emerge from the shadows to catch the spooky spirit of Halloween in the summer. We are your guides, Lindsay & Jonas, and we will take you with us through the time when the spooky season begins in Sleepy Hollow.🥀🦇

I love your channel! 💟 My ancestors lived in a town very close to Sleepy hollow called Fishkill NY, in what is now called the Brinkerhoff Inn a bed and breakfast there. Col John Brinkerhoff was very good friends with George Washington, and he would often come back and stay at his stone 🪨 built house! Lafayette also stayed there at the stone house when he was very ill. After my family took care of him, he went back to France, and sent a beautiful punch bowl with 🍇 grapes 🥣 back to them as a thank you! It's now in a museum. One day I want to stay in the bed and breakfast, and write ✍️ about my family! The stone house is private property now , but it was owned by the Brinkerhoff family for a very long time! But John Brinkerhoff parents house is the B&B! That's the Dutch side of my family!

My father being from Emerson NJ he would tell the story of sleepy hollow every year and every slumber party I had as a kid and scare us all. It was so much fun. Every time we visited relatives graves he’d take me walking through the old gravestones and read them he enjoyed that.

My grandparents were from Yonkers. My Pop pop loved telling us tales of the Hudson Valley. Icabod Crane was a fav.

What fun! I would love to visit Sleepy Hollow. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love the idea of of letting it have a summer presence.
So very exciting to take part with both of you in today's festivities of Sleepy Hallow. Washington Irving lives on with his " headless Horseman" story set in this area. Have never been to Lindhurst, and perhaps one day it will.happen, but now that you have shown it, in person. It could happen yet! MAYBE not this year, but when possible. Loved your huge Pretzle!! Have never seen one tat big!! Lol Thank you. Love the costumes, as well it makes it al so.much fun!

Sleepy Hollow is all about tourism especially in the fall, we plan on doing videos this year and we also have many from previous Halloween seasons 🎃

Love going along on the neat tour with you guys. Was getting ready to swoop down for some of the sundae that Jonas was enjoying but there wasn't any left! Cool watermelon, too. I would have hated for anyone to eat that after all of the work put in on it. You live in a neat, one of a kind, town.

I had to look up why the lighthouse was now closer to shore. Interesting. I loved the mel-o-lanterns. I just bought a melon at the market yesterday and now I'm inspired to create my own. The video is such a lovely combination of enjoying both summer's bounty and the anticipation of spooky season.
