Thank you for these videos! New to aerogarden and I had so many questions about the differences in the options. You have answered all of my questions with your vids. THANK YOU!
I think reason xl was slower is plants like orange hat set flowers when it thinks it has reached maximum rooting space..so if you grow it in a small jar it will flower much faster then a larger jar...the larger water tank made the plant think it had more room for roots to grow..an interesting experiment would be to grow two orange hats in harvest and two in sprout to see which flowers first.
the power output could be closer then advertised. ya never know without testing. even the same model light could be off a few watts from sample to sample. They could also just round one figure up or down so it seems better on paper. ex. if the light runs at 23.5 watts they might call it a 20 watt for one model but in a more expensive model call it a 25watt. I don't know if this is the case but it's worth being aware of.
One of your better videos, and interesting how the harvest seemed faster, which may be from the ability to lower the lights closer to the plants. Not every AeroGarden product is worth buying.
I have grown Alpine strawberries from seeds in the past. It came out very well, but the plants are very sensitive and got root rot pretty quickly. Plants never recovered from root rot and died eventually. I want to try it again sometime soon using preventive measures. I see that lot of people got success growing from bareroots. Maybe you can give it a try. But growing from seeds is easy. It took just 4 months to get my first strawberry. Just limit the number plants, frequently change the water, just add half the recommended nutrients (i.e. 4ml in Harvest model instead of 8 ml). These are the seeds I tried: www.rareseeds.com/alexandria-alpine-strawberry
I would think the smaller container would max out the growth earlier and start the fruiting and ripening earlier. Also, i think the light on the smaller unit is more concentrated. I'd be curious what the total weight comparisons of fruit production were for the two machines

Glad it was helpful!
What an interesting experiment! Thanks for sharing! 🍅
Cool experiment ! 🍀
Thank you for the comparison.
Thank you for another excellent video. Can you please tell me where you got the Orange Hat seeds. These tomatoes look delicious. Thank you.

Great information! I appreciate your effort and research in your videos. Thank you🙏

This is an interesting point. I will experiment more from this point.
my thinking as well.
Awesome info!!! Thank you so much!!! :-)
There is a aerogarden with a 50 watt light now.
Would love to see a comparison with that one. Great channel
Sure. Will do. Thanks.

It would be ideal to get the lumens measure of the deck distance for comparison

yeah, I believe the same that the lights are lower in Harvest compared to XL.
Does putting aluminum foil on the bottom helps the plants?
I put it on the top and drape it over and the back and sides of my aero garden plants get maximum light from all sides.
Sir, have you grown strawberries in an AEROGARDEN yet ?
What is the first way to grow strawberries INDOORS?
Thank you 🌿

@@aerogardenexperiments thank you. It has been my goal for years to try growing strawberries (again )

Hmmm this is a very interesting explanation. Thanks.
I wonder if the difference might be because of the higher minimum light height in the Harvest XL? Especially with a plant as short as the Orange Hat.
Yeah, I suspect the same.
