If Rick wants comedy and music get Vulfpeck on
Jack Stratton in a room with Rick Glassman would be wild
@@thomastrifari4638 RICK GLASSMAN ARE YOU LISTENING
Yesssss!!!
Omg yes! @vulfpeck
Vulfpeck would be so good.
23 as a musical theatre song was incredible.
I cried
The amount of tears of joy I have shed watching Lawrence over the past few years has been amorphous
Never heard of these before but 10 seconds in their 1st song on the pod and they get an instant sub and follow on all of their music and socials. Thanks for the hook up Rick
that’s an example of a 1-touch fan right there
They are absolutely incredible and they are apart of Jon Bellion's label... if you dont know him check him out too it's a must
Love these musical eps, these two are just pure talent. I think this is my third touch with them so they're going on the Playlist now!
They’re so mf good. They’re too quick
World needs a podcast that just hangs out with upcoming bands and jams
How raspy awesome will Clyde sound when he’s 50! Rick with the appropriate fawning for their talent. Cast Gracie in a musical.
Never heard of this band before but my god are they amazing! That part when they did the musical version of 23, this has to be an album!
Their harmony together is SO GOOD..
Lawrence is a first touch band for me. Thanks for the rec Rick.
Im beaming like a little kid right now. So happy
The puppet bit is so funny. Rick is a menace
The cam on her reaction 😂
The way they just politely sat through it. 😅 They seem so nice
I am obsessed with Lawrence. They have been playing in my head more or less non-stop for the past year
Wow. Unreal guest selection. Amazing job
:|
the editor lining up scoot doo perfectly with last two chords was really well done. great soul in your work guys
I’ve never heard of this band. This girl is a goddess and I’m playing them on Spotify and their music makes my soul smile. Rick! Rick 🤖Rick! Rick!
They were being so nice about shutting Rick's opening idea
Rick, please do more musical podcasts!
These far surpass all podcasts that are designed for musicians.
You just know how to bring the right energy with the right guests.
Much love X
"three touches"
"I already understand, but I still have to sit here while you explain it because that is what humans do."
God, this resonates with me, haha.
Just listened to this as a podcast and had to watch the YT video because I have to see Clyde and Gracie’s faces when Rick tries to sell them on turning a concert into an Andy Kaufman conceptual piece and then brings out a puppet.
I can't unsee Julia Garner from Inventing Ana singing on the couch.
Thanks to this podcast, it reminded me to check their European tour dates and I managed to grab the last two tickets to their London show last week! These guys are one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. Go and grab a ticket to your nearest show! You will not be disappointed ☀️🤯
What amazing talent and skill! And Lawrence the band is amazing too.
Omg they're great, and Gracie has pipes. "I'm confident that I'm insecure" brought me to tears. Discovering a new fav band from one of my favorite podcasts is such a delight. Thank you, Rick!!
Wait til you find their acoustic-ish videos
Real music, real vocals, real personalities. Perfect
First touch, in love with this band. Thanks Rick!
20 minutes in and i havent stopped smiling ear to ear
So much fun. I really needed a little pick me up before work today. Life has been rough lately, and I thank you Rick for bringing some joy to these difficult times.
The cuts to Rick reacting to the keyboard and singing are what makes it even better
“I’m a puppet act” lol
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????? 10 seconds in and this is already my favorite episode
Lawrence was absolutely a first touch band for me. Years ago, when I first heard 'homesick' in my discover weekly playlist on spotify it was an immediate follow. Such a good song. I'm only 22 minutes in, but this is already one of my favourite tyso eps!
I'm 42 yo...i love music dearly...I literally just got back from playing music for an hour and half at a Senior center for 90+ ppl...as far as nursing home/senior center "gigs" which I play several times a month....it's a lot of fun and very rewarding... When I get done, I go and and smoke a big joint and usually play violin or guitar for an hour or two because I'm still in performance mode.... well Im so glad I peaked at YT for something to watch while I rolled....I was giggling and getting goosebumps instantly... I love chemistry.... even when they didn't realize that Rick is not really a puppet act... Rick really committed to it.... Love love love!
Watched the pod, watched they’re entire catalog, now I’m back to watching the pod again
I love the intro scatting after Rick singing at 0:52. Bunch of fun geniuses over in the TYSO studios.
"We're siblings." Gracie and I shoot our shots in a similar style haha.
So that's why I call chicks "bro"🤔
@cloudbloom haha oh god, every guy I ever dated was referred to as dude so I feel ya hahah. Although, I meant she was trying to make it clear to Rick that she's not married to Clyde, subtle and odd shooting of the shot lolol.
Until Rick brought out the puppet, then she was second guessing everything
I loved that part, it was adorable but kinda obvious 😅
@@smartbrianS Right? Made my heart melt haha!
One of my favorite bands!!! Can't wait to watch!! 🥺😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰🥰🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
"I've talked about this on the podcast before" really means "I've said this exact thing 400 times already."
I don’t mean this in a backhanded way, but I don’t listen to their type of music and had never heard of them before today, but they’re exceptionally talented and I added several of their songs to my playlist after this episode. Awesome stuff
I’m 23 and boy, are my arms tired
🗣House money
I just bought new shoes and boy and boy
Jewish joke! 😄😄😄
YESSS! Was so excited as soon as I saw who the guest was. These guys deserve all the love and attention they can get!
When you cue the “theme music” and he starts playing ragtime piano, the last two chords fit perfectly with the first “Scoot Doo” of the actual theme music and the musician in me got so giddy. The editor definitely did that on purpose! GREAT episode 🔥
One of the lowkey gifts of this podcast is seeing what’s on Rick’s playlist
I'm a HUGE Lawrence fan. I saw them in Cincinnati a few years back and they are the best band I've ever had the pleasure of seeing live. If you love catchy soulful music then you NEED to dive into their acoustic performances on their UA-cam Channel. The energy, talent, and production is bar none.
Just wanted to say thanks for featuring Amazing musical talents like this on your podcast! I love you Where can I and watch every episode of take your Shoes Off, But just like a lot of people on here after 10 seconds of hearing them play and sing I immediately went over to my Spotify and follow them and haven't listening to their music all day. Literally can't stop smiling and dancing!😊🎶🕺🏼💃🏼🎵
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!! I love love LOVE Lawrence! This is the greatest colab ever!
I love them so much. Glad more people are getting to hear their music! Cant wait to see yhem in Seattle. UNREAL TALENT!!💜🙌
what a great ep! I'd never head of them, their voices and songs amazing. thanks for the treat rick
Protect Lawrence at all costs. They are National Treasures.
So glad they’re now in the TYSO cannon, they are AMAZING live!

I saved this for Sunday. Music is the savior.
Holy shit I’ve been following these guys since 2020. Then to see them all of the sudden pop up in the TYSO thumbnail?!? 🙌 This episode was AMAZING!
SOOOO Loved this! Lawrence The Band is AMAZING! Gracie's voice gives me chills, and Claude's is so reassuring!
Such an amazing band. Love the unique takes on their tracks here. Cannot wait for the Family Business tour to hit my city.
this is the 3rd touch thats gonna make me a fan of Lawrence
SO surprised and pumped to see Lawrence the Band on TYSO. Worlds colliding and I love it 👀
I love love love Lawrence! You rock for having them on...and I second getting Vulfpeck on! That would be an amazing episode!
This dude's speaking voice sounds just like Jonah Hill.
That made my day😂❤
Someone on another video said about him: He laughs like Jonah Hill and sings like John Mayer
I hear more TJ Miller
Sounds more like Corey Tayler from Slipknot
theyre both jews
Their voice is are insane and their songs are quality. Well done for getting them on
Never heard of this group and I’m instantaneously hooked … just fantastic 🎉
This is so much perfect chaos. Thank you
The cross-over I never saw coming and yet was exactly what I needed
All my life put a damn smile on my face, just hearing that piano intro. Damn throwback!
The parallels in my life seem to be shockingly coincidental yet make so much sense. This crossover was a surprise. So cool.
thanks for making my week, my favourite creatives hanging out together
1:05:29 Clyde's comic timing is incredible omfg. I didnt know he was funny like that. He'd make a great straight man
Their harmonies are spot on! Goosebumps!🤩
Love Lawrence. Great musicians and right now my most player band. Great seeing them get some new eyes on them.
20 minutes in and this is my favorite episode of tyso ever!!!!
Cant believe I haven't heard of these two, gonna do a sit down and listen to their entire discography... One touch for sure.
This was really fun. Thanks Rick!
Never clicked so fast! Love Lawerence so much!
Lawrence was first touch forever fav for me when “More” played in my Spotify stream about 5 years ago. Hooked ever since.
This was cool to watch. Amazing talent!
Every time u push me away Rick it’s eps like this that bring me back.
Best guests ever!! Love Clyde & Gracie SO MUCH. They RIP on stage & their new record has no skips.
Love that the most creative, talented people become friends
Never heard of these two but big new fan now. Amazing talent. Great ep, Rick!
This is just what i needed! Lawrence are awesome!
I met them at the Greek with my sister when they opened for Jon Bellion, awesome band, awesome people.
Never heard of these two but wow. Listened to “confident” over and over.
I would have loved to hear the inner thoughts from them during the "puppet routine" monologue. Rick has a gift of taking the line between serious and joking and making it rather amorphous.
This is the way to connect Rick! This podcast is SWEEEEET!! Since day one!
I'm obsessed with them. Holy crap 🙌🏼
Watched this now I’ve been playing them nonstop. They have a new fan in me 🤙🏼
Such a fun ep. Incredibly talented musicians!
0:20 This is the dopest intro I've ever seen
Comments for the algorithm! Lawrence is all gas. Watching them grow through the years has been awesome! Absolute first class music
I didn’t expect to see this combo, what a wonderful surprise
Oh shiatsu! I just started listening to these guys' music on Apple Music, and now they're on your podcast! Their last album 'Family Business' is amazing!
Gracie is the leader of these 3 because she has the biggest glasses
THIS was a solid guest choice. Lawrence is such a killer band.
Holy crap these guys are great!
You know it’s a banger episode when Rick doesn’t care about getting demonetized ✊🏼😎
This really hit the spot after today. Thanks
TYSO just keeps getting better every week
Imagine giving birth to not one, but two extremely talented musicians. Extraordinary 🤌🏼
I'm so beyond excited for this episode.
Oh man, it truly is an amazing episode.
Well damn. First touch. I’m all in. Thanks Rick. 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
This one gets a like and a comment before I even start playing the episode. My 2 favorite entertainment artists colliding...unreal
