5 - West End Live (not really a show but it was AMAZING)
That was my top 5 in order so far this year! Happy Birthday Sister!!!!
Yaaaas love this list!!
Loving the list videos as I’ve said before! Hope you’re having a fab birthday! My top 5 shows I’ve seen this year (from least to most favourite) are: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Hamilton, The Grinning Man and in first place, Heathers! Glad you’re having a great theatre year so far, I know I am as well! Great video!
Yay thanks for sharing your list!! Love your choices :)
you seriously need to see miss Saigon, loved it when I saw it and the tour cast are amazing!
I'm deffo gonna try and see the tour, I loved seeing it in London! Glad you enjoyed it :)
"How is my bank account coping, ohh wait it's not" - I feel ya! I think exactly the same on a daily basis, does it stop me booking shows? Of course not ! 😂
As for my favourite shows so far this year they'd probably be:
Titanic (UK Tour), Tina and Miss Saigon (UK Tour). I have Heathers booked for this month as well so I'm fully expecting that to be up there as well. And obviously Kinky Boots but I'd seen that a fair few times before this year started
Lmaooo it's such a mood isn't it 🤦🏻♀️ Thanks for sharing your faves!! I'm sorry for your loss re: news of kinky boots closing 💔 I need to try to see Tina and the Saigon tour at some point soon...
It really is! 🤣
Girl, I'm broken! 😭 I can''t be losing Kinky 😭 At least there's the tour that's something. And as gutted as I am, I'm kind of glad it's ending on a high rather than being dragged out and run down to the ground.
Ahh well it may also free up time and money to go and see other shows. I mean I saw Kinky 6 times in June, seen it once already this month with another 6 booked/planned for July.
Definitely need to see the Saigon tour, I'd go as far as saying if anyone is only going to see one tour this year it needs to be that one.
I'm legit obsessed with Henry VIII's wives so I'd die if Six came to America!
Ahhh I'd love it if you got to see it! :)
My favorite show of 2018 has to be Frozen. The Broadway version gets a lot of hate but it was absolutely sensational.
I'm DESPERATE to see it!!
Would love to see spongebob when I'm in New York in January. Hopefully. I saw your review and looked at the set desighn and went to see Bat out of hell on Thursday and was thinking Spongebob would be perfect in here or the palladium for a limited run :)
I've also thought Spongebob would do well in the Dominion for a limited run! They could have so much fun with it. Fingers crossed you get to see Spongebob in NYC :D
They should just bring it over I don't know whats taking them so long with Waitress as thats another one I'd like to see Savoy and Adelphi are free from next year Thanks Rukaya :)
Thumbs up just for the ‘out of the water’ pun ;)
Hahahaha I was so pleased with that
1st comment ! Do you think you will do a video on the miss saigon uk tour?
that tour is amazing!! i've seen it twice in manchester and bristol, would absolutely go again, ashley gilmour is incredible as chris, and joreen bautista is outstanding as the alternate kim!
I really enjoyed it as well. I saw it in manchester but i didnt get to see joreen bautista
I'd love to see the tour!! Definitely gonna try and get round to seeing it
I'm glad you loved it!! :)
Rukaya Cesar It’s amazing and the set pieces are spectacular x
Happy birthday 🎁🎁🎁 xxx
Thank you!! :)
Still absolutely gutted that Spongebob is closing in September. So sad
Right!!! 😭
Great video rukaya! Do you think you could do a cheapest seats at 42nd street ?X
Thanks Yasmine!! I'll add it to the list :)
Hey! Just wondering where you will be watching the wicked ik tour in winter? x ( if u could come to Manchester so I can fan girl with you 😂 )
Hey hey! I haven't planned my life out that far ahead haha, so who knows! Hope you have a fab time when you see the tour :)
Hamilton, Heathers, Legally Blonde UK tour and Beautiful: Carole King UK tour.
Excellent choices, thanks for sharing!! :)
Is there going to be the actual favs of 2018 since the year has ended
Not a video of them! I did a twitter thread twitter.com/RukayaC_/status/1079765400886431747?s=19 xx
I knew heathers would be on this list
I'm predictable hahaha
Happy birthday
Thanks Toby!
Your on brumhippodrome insta, they posted the picture of you holding up 'ive been to chokey' sign
Pahahaha that photo!!
Rukaya Cesar yess!!
Hamilton, Chess, Spring Awakening, Miss Saigon uk tour and Around The World In 80 Days uk tour (know that one's not a musical but meh)
Thank you so much for sharing your faves, great selection of shows! I only said musicals in the title cause all my faves happened to be musicals (lolll what a surprise!)
I've not seen many musicals so far this year except Fun Home which I saw on Saturday and am completely in love with. Of the plays I saw I really loved Nine Night and can't wait to see it on the West End a second time, I saw Consent a couple of weeks ago which was similarly fantastic and raised some interesting moral dilemmas and I saw Building the Wall which is now scarily close to home with the whole child imprisonment situation going on in America right now. I saw a lot of other plays too but there's too many to go into too much detail. All I can say is do not go to see All or Nothing it's a terrible juke box musical that I was dragged to because my dad's a fan of the band the music is based on and even he didn't like it. It may well be the worst thing I've seen.
As someone who isn't big on plays, I LOVED reading this comment and hearing what you loved! I definitely need to see Nine Night when it transfers to Traf Studios, was gutted to miss that at the NT. Yeah don't worry I didn't think I'd like All or Nothing and didn't see it when it was here hahaha, thanks for the great comment!
Rukaya Cesar Thank you for the great reply, I love your videos! And yeah definitely see Nine Night if you can (hopefully it's the same cast because they were brilliant). We've just booked to see it again in December so I'm very excited for that.
