She would have isolated herself to give birth and raise the cubs until they are between 1-2 months old, at which time she would rejoin the pride with her babies. If these two were cousins, one would expect to see other pride members, including the second mother, close by.

Even big males are sometimes babysitting while lionesses hunt. It is group effort to get food and raise cubs , lions are the most social predators. This is why they are really successful. If poaching would stop, their population number would go up really fast in Africa.

If that stupid camera man wasn't blocking the road with that jeep, Mom could of stayed on the road , But the last cub cut thru the grass , fear of the vehicle.. Film all you want. BUT Damn at least give them some space!!! Especially the Moms with their little ones. Smh!

Only one cub is hers, if any. Lionesses do not give birth to litters so close together. One or even both are from her sisters, and she is babysitting.
