MPJ did admit that he regrets wasting time hitting the gym + practicing shots when he was on the bench instead of studying defensive schemes. he'll be amazing on defense, he's athletic enough to be Giannis level.

He have everything that needs to be great! Now it is just hard work! And he definitely needs to improve his handling,he is to stiff when handle the ball, needs to lose up little.
I really hope this season bring him all the best and he became that 3 guy near jokic and murray.
For MPJ to take that next step he has to improve on Defense. He's a talented offensive player but the way teams were attacking him in the bubble and picking on him was unacceptable. He won't ever be a lock down defender but defense is 70 % effort. He does that and he can be a top 10 player in the league
Defense? How come nobody is saying that to Jokic and Murray? I don't see Jokic or Murray defending anybody. Denver is not going to win if they keep playing the 2-man pick and roll with Jokic and Murray. That's why Porter threw the team under bus during the interview. Coach sent him to the corner and let him play 20 minutes off the bench. Horrible.
@@8mathdaddy Actually Draymond called Jokic out for not playing defense. Honestly that's why I feel embid is better because he's more of a 2 way player. Porter wasn't wrong but you don't say that to the media. Teams were targeting MPJ. Because he was that bad. Murray wasn't that much better but now a days guards can get away with not playing defense.
