The highlight of today's show had to be the folks who were unloading the entire contents of their storage unit into that boat along with 57 loaves of baguette bread, a mattress, a kitchen sink and a partridge in a pear tree! But the 1st mate of the Concept... she had some abs! No wonder they figured she could tug a war with that little boat. No problem there!
It amazes me that everybody in the boat stands up as they are coming in to the ramp. The line handlers have to stumble over the rest of the crew to get the lines out. It is bad enough that the lines, in many cases, are not attached to the cleats yet.
Boat ramps make my brain hurt. That's why I did indoor rack storage at a sleepy marina for the last 18 years! Yard mgr. would see us coming, boat's in the water before we were done unloading the car!
right dude like wtf lmao ,everyone just turns their head and no one wants to even stand up and walk their jet ski out of the way. crazy how people are pieces of shit
0:55 Looks like a Tempest. I could be wrong but that is what it looks like. Back in the 1980's there were a few builders that put outboards on what would traditionally be I/O "go-fast" boats.
It's hilarious when people do not tie their life vest tight enough and then go into water. And the life vests then stay on the surface and they do NOT, so that life vests are above their heads. Cracks me up every time...
Yep, those crotch straps are there for a reason. I know they can be uncomfortable in certain circumstances, but if you know you are going into the water (as when deciding to swim the 'doo in) at least hook it up before you get in the water and it gets in the way.
@@codysmith7456 I've only ever been to a couple places that needed them. It's even better if they have licenses, and are still this bad. Who said I had a problem? If I were you I'd swim to the bottom of the ocean to see how long you can hold your breath. Might help you fix your problems.
Hey Bronco, got some advice for towing. Two good ways, have a post ahead of your engines/rudders, or have a self balancing yoke across the transom. If you're just tied off to a cleat the tow is always trying to make you turn one way, and if there's any wind it might be very difficult to turn against it without backing and filling, posing risk of entanglement with slack line. In this scenario, holding the line is just fine, she's moving to the inside of the turns to assist in steering, replicating a balanced yoke or post, and you should be ready to cut away on short notice, or shorten the lines. With such a small tow, in good conditions, it's just fine. Here's the yoke, awkward description for a simple device; line tied from cleats on each side near the transom, forming a V behind the boat passing through the eye of the tow line. if you turn to port, the eye slides to the port side, increasing drag with the tow on that side and assisting the turn, et visa versa. Straight ahead the tow lines centers itself on the yoke and you have efficient pulling straight ahead with no need for rudder input to counter imbalanced drag. Another pro tip, use a long, long long tow line, get your tow out of the prop wash and reduce drag, as well as absorbing shock from the climbing up and down over big waves.
Boats the size of the one being towed by the Concept should have an oar on board. One guy and one oar could easily get that boat to the dock. Hell they could reach over the side and paddle with their hand.
I can tell you exactly what happened with the first boat. This guy wants to get on the water but he has to herd a bunch of girls out of the house to get to the boat ramp early. Just getting out of the house was a win. Getting on the boat will be extra.
Most people don't seem to grasp that bollards, posts and cleats are way stronger than they are. As soon as you get on the dock with a line, wrap it around something and then it doesn't matter what the boat does. What it won't do is pull you into the water. The boat is now attached to the dock.

Every time you say that you don’t know why someone is doing something or that you are confused, well the answer is simple, they don’t know what they are doing !
That's how it's suppose to be down at any boat ramp, if you see someone coming in or going out and they need help, just give them a hand and help them out. You never know what the situation is and what problems they may be having.
To make docking a lot easier in small boats why not have a single rope attached to bow and stern, allowing one person to step off onto the dock and control the entire boat. As for the jet skis, drive over them.
@ 6:24 the 15 ft boat with engine problems , don't people carry a paddle in their smaller craft for such problems like this? He could have propelled the boat to the dock by paddling without much effort.
One of my biggest pet peeves is people who spend 15 minutes preparing their boat backed down on the ramp. That’s how your drain plus “mysteriously vanishes”
I still say they should have a dedicated jet ski ramp and that's it-- period. The majority just leave them around, sit in the way, and basically just do not care. Give them one marked ramp (the one by the rock and trees) and post the other ramps No docking, No sitting, No loitering.
I love how my boy Broncos Guru "thinks out loud" in these videos. I do the same thing, wondering, or trying to see & understand what's going on around me. ....especially the things that make zero sense, (like the crew loading their boat at the boat ramp.)
Thats my guess, except it looks like factory outboard set up. I would think if it was an I/o repower they would have put a bracket on it, and not notch the transom and put a splashwell in.
The people at 2:00 actually own the ramp and just let the peasants use it. They probably own the road leading to the ramp as well. Your humble subjects thank you.
10:00 - that guys life jacket is way too loose. In a survival situation a jacket that rides up like that is bad news. Oh haha Broncos mentions that a few seconds later.

One thing I have learned about boating watching this channel: if the registration number of an incoming boat starts with FL, make way!
All of these videos are just complete chaos, but very entertaining.
