DISCRIMINATED BY A WOMAN ON WOMAN'S DAY

I still can’t belive what happened to me on International women’s day. As most of you probably saw in my stories. I was invited to walk the runway for a fashion show for the first time in my life. The shows purpose was to celebrate womens day showcasing looks from swedish designer @gudrunsworld on both models and regular women who are all influential figures in fields like arts, science, dance, business etc. All inspirational, amazing women, and I had a blast getting to work with them. Everything felt great until the end of the fashion show. I went up to the designer @gudrunsworld to say hello and congratulate her on the show, but was instead greeted by her negative and discriminating comments about my Hijab.
@gudrunsworld first comment to me after hello was "oh wow, so they put one of those on you" (meaning my hijab). I was standing next to the stylist Anna who dressed me, and I replied "yes, didn't she wrap it amazingly?", whereby Gudrun in a snide tone said "well today there were protests against women wearing the veil". This woman @gudrunsjoden , who claimed to be celebrating all diversity of women on international womens day, just aired her derogatory views on my hijab that is made out of her patterns in front of me and her salaried stylist who styled my look. My jaw dropped, I was speecheless (where are all the clever clapbacks when u need em?). I said "well here I am standing in one", and left.
My choice to wear Hijab is as powerful as your choice not to. Your looking down on my choice is the real oppression here. I celebrate women who do as they choose.
