- Mom had to take a flight with 2 of the kids to Oregon for her brothers wedding. Flying with kids can always be fun, or a disaster. Luckily they were SO good on the way there. The next vlog is the flight home and it was the worst flight experience mom ever had, she actually cried in the bathroom the entire time. So sad :( details on next vlog. This flight was perfect though, and mom and Reese and Gemma made it safe to Oregon. The wedding was beautiful and Gemma was the cutest flower girl ever! Dad back in Utah took the other two kids on a wild wild adventure to one of the most fun places our kids have been to! Can't wait until we all are together again!

I don't know why but I laughed so hard when Gemma said her hands were too cold & she can't hold on anymore...she always makes me laugh...and the triplets are just cuteness overload. Such a different feel when Cara narrates...it just shows your sweet loving nature and we then get why your kids are so sweet. Love you all so much!!💕💕💕
Grandma Bonnie dancing with the girls was everything. I did the same thing with all my kids. My youngest still dances with me in the kitchen at 7 years old. I don’t ever want it to stop. Xoxox

Cara is a total boss to take a toddler and a 3 year old on a plane WHILE pregnant! I was too scared to travel alone when my son was little! I always had my husband or mother in law with me. Total respect to her! Wondering what happened on flight? I had the oxygen masks come down once and now I am a nervous flyer.
On her Instagram she just explained that Reece screamed non stop the entire time and should couldn’t do anything to stop her. Eventually she went to the bathroom to cry and a flight attendant watched the kids for her for a minute. Nothing with the actual flight itself 😊

I love when Derik vlogs, his style is so fun! (Wren down that slide 😂) but I also enjoy one on one with Cara . I think it's because I'm a mom of 4 and seeing her "mom" just fills me with joy ! I love the way the both of you parent in your own way, independently! Grandma's house is always such a blast and memory filled ! It sure makes me miss mine ! PERFECT job G!!!!! What a good girl! My daughter was a flower girl for my Aunt's wedding. The director told her to "throw the flowers and walk down the aisle... SO.... when it was her turn (3.5 years old) they handed her the basket of flowers and my daughter proceeded to CHUCK the entire basket and walt down the aisle twisting the beads on her chest!!!! The crowd roared! It was precious! Embarrassing, yet precious.

Reese with the backpack on reminds me of growing up with 4 other siblings. We were 5 kids in 6 1/2 years and my mom looked like mama duck with all her duckling and their own luggage when we travelled. She did not pack our stuff with hers. From the time I remember traveling with my family (which we did a lot when we were young) the kids always lugged their own suite cases. Lol!! Thank you guys for sharing your world!

My suggestion is to take the tile up higher. Couldn't see how high the space is between the range hood & cabinet to see if you could even take it a bit higher.
Finish the area above backsplash with sleuter or decorative tile. Esp in kitchen, gives a finished look and easy to clean!

Interior designer here! To answer the question about the backsplash, definitely go with your first option. Height up to cabinetry, go over, raise height under oven hood only. BETTER YET - do a decorative contrasting tile under the oven hood to make the difference in height look even more intentional.
