- Quick video showing newer operators how to set your kick from the drive side when using just the operator's side delivery carrier (aka trombone). If your ejector sensor is on the operator's side belt, you will have to do this sometimes.
Nice solution for when you’re unable to kick from the operator side! I could definitely use this in some of my set-ups!
If this type of content is helpful, let me know and I'll make more like it. Thanks for the comment friend and have a great rest of the weekend!
Que tal señor? Podria usted realizar una pequeña guia de como configurar el pateado de la caja en altas velocidades? Cuando aumento la velocidad suele ser variable
Trabalho aqui no Brasil e amo o que eu faço
Thank you!
That is genius. Thank you for sharing that!!
My pleasure!
Jeez, our expertfold has buttons to move the tombone...seems like such a luxury watching this
the MasterFolds that I started out on had them too
Hola donde esta la fabrica y cuanto cobra un operador como tu , yo también soy maquinista de jagenberg diana 105 , gracias .
I'm in the USA
Hey. Is there a reason why it has to be on the drive side on your job ? You can put the kick on the op side too so you dont have to do this and its easier.
the sensor for the ejector is on the operator's side. I have to use the operator's side so it will read each carton, count each carton and eject bad cartons.
The other reason is if I kicked from the operator's side, it would kick part of the carton out that has a glue line. If the glue lines are not being compressed with the rest of the carton, it won't stick the glue.
@@Oakhart76 Yes, I know that. But there is another square tube on the operator side where you can put the kick on! happy weekend

@@Oakhart76 thats true!! i get that ! i was confused because normally the kick is on Operator side, depends on the carton itself where to put it and 2 belts or 1. But all in all i like your solution, never thought about it after 10 years working on this machine myself haha
Why not use the other belt and move away the operator side belt🤔
On the Bobst gluers, the ejector eye is on the operator's side delivery belt frame. That eye is used for multiple tasks. It counts the cartons, it is used to identify which carton should be ejected if there is a problem with one of them and is also what tells the compression section to move. There is also a second eye that reads the ejected carton located below the ejector fingers on that side. If that eye cannot see the carton, those things will not function. Being able to identify bad cartons (or mixed items) and getting rid of them is a huge priority and helps insure that our customers get exactly what they paid for. Hope that answered your question.
@@Oakhart76 nice solution i had the same issue about a couple of weeks ago i switched the kick over but could not get the sensor to fit.It was a small run so we kicked from the operators side but i will try this in the future👍
Hello. How long does it take on average to set up 4 gluing points.
That depends on what the carton structure is and how complex the setup is.
@@Oakhart76 Assume a standard 4-corner box of medium size.
A four corner will take about 2.5 - 3 hrs to get it on the machine with glue in place, but I always take my time with my make-ready and get everything just right so when I start running, I know it will run good. I have a video of a four corner running that took longer to set up because the cases we had forced me to fold it like you would fold a 6-corner carton.
@@Oakhart76 Thank you for your reply.
Thank you for the comments. Good luck out there and hope you have a good weekend
Nice solution
