What a goalkeeper Bodo Illgner was. He always made good decisions and had a perfect positioning, plus the longest range, and he covered the goal very well.

It was very difficult to find him unaware and cause him problems because of that. In that goal you mention, he stood still, a rare thing for him... He said he saw the ball only too late...

He got back home and had bought this legendary barca shirt. I was a die hard juve fan, but loved that shirt. Kappa caught that 90’s feeling plus the design was amazing.

It's just incredible how many clear chances Mijatovic missed. Redondo unplayable, impassable, Ronaldo and Figo hot but clumsy. It was the time when the defenders were tough but in Spain there was, as there still is today, a priority to the good, to mastering the ball forward, the antipodes of Italian football.

En el futbol actual quizás sí, pero la primera toca balón, aunque va con mucha fuerza pero llega al balón. La 2da un poco de lo mismo pero llega mas tarde, por eso compensan en el penal a Figo, no lo toca y dan el penal para compensar.

It was unfortunate that he was being forced to go to RM because of the dirty work of Florentino Perez and Figo's agents. And that eventually led to the wrath of Barca fans, which was inevitable. Even Figo admitted himself on Netflix that it was their doings, not him. He would've loved to stay at Barca. But he understood Barca fans had to react like that but RM wanted him more. Damn he was a different beast though, miles more charismatic than CR7, speaking of compatriots.
