I've seen Luffy using conquerors haki when he fights Duval, when he's in Amazon Lily and in Marineford, thats why its already given that he'll able to control it freely but I didn't expect the he'll use it this early, that's why this scene always gave me goosebumps.

He did not use it “freely” pre time skip at all,the only time it wasn’t in a emergency was against duvals cow bull thing
