Thank you for listening my music ^ . ^ The Song of Mulan is a famous long narrative poem created during the South and North Period of China, which narrates the story of an heroine who joins the army in place of her father. Mulan is not only a women warrior galloping on the battlefield, but also a beautiful civilian maiden. She is industrious,kindhearted, firm and persistent and brave. With her love for her family, loyalty for her nation and indifference to high position and privileged treatment, and enjoyment out of her life, she is a perfect image of traditional ethics, optimism and patriotism in ancient China. The Ballad of Mulan is a solemn and stirring yet awesome story. Mulan neither has force nor knows Chinese Kongfu. She is nobody but a lovely Chinese girl. Mulan’s decision to join the army in place of her father nearly amounted to courting death in her times. I hope my music will bring you different feelings about this famous Chinese girl, and the sound of Chinese lute（pipa）will take you to the ancient Chinese battlefield.
Were maidens and women forbidden from joining the army in her time? How did she survive without martial arts skills? I am still puzzled to this day by her story. What are the hidden facts? She must have inspired the army squad she was in somehow to succeed and return.
@@vickyglasgow5124 i think conscription generally only took men in the ancient times. if my memory serves me right, the other soldiers did not discover that she's a woman (the war lasted for more than 10 years) until she returned home after the war - and changed back into clothes that women wore at the time. i don't think any of her soldier friends would be a snitch and report her to the emperor, so i don't think the authority knew.
@@vickyglasgow5124 Disney Mulan (yea the cartoon one) is a good movie but not culturally/historically accurate. Most people didn't learn martial arts - it was a stereotype. Though of course they would receive military training afterwards. Their way of fighting was using spears, arrows or even explosives - id say that the only type of martial arts that would be useful at a battlefield were the ones that involved weapons.

古時候有人形容過琵琶最好是關西大漢在馬上彈銅琵琶。所以原本就是激昂慷慨的曲調。是非常陽剛的樂器。
