Sept 10, 2013 ---As most of you know already, the maestro T Moise passed away on Aug 30, 2013 after a long battle with heart disease. May he rest in peace. A giant is gone but his footprints are engraved in the music world for ever. I'm from Guatemala, living in Canada for 40 years, I heard this beautiful music on a radio station that plays all kind of music, I don't understand what it says but it's beautiful, the beat, the drums, the guitar player, the sax it's just beautiful I love old style kompa music, is to dance until you drop dead of pleasure with a nice lady.

I grow up listing to these guys cleaning the house my aunt and grandma was listing to them, and all the Haitian classic elegant music.
I remember that I used to go to their practice;. repetitions at Serge Rosenthal home,by my house at that time i was just a little boy.

I was born in Port-au-Prince and left Haiti as an 11 year old to Live in San Francisco, CA with my parents in 1969. I do remember listening to this piece of excellent music, such great sound. Love it! Love it!!!

I could not believe it when I saw the Bass player. I grew up in the same city (Première cité) as he and I used to see him rehearsal with the other member of the group. I was about 8 years old. They have shown respect for all even kids of my age..., they let us hanged around the instruments and even joked, played with us. Amazing time with amazing people and great music; Le Compas.
