The joke with the monkey's paw meme essentially comes down to that we got Snake-Eyes much earlier than expected, yes. Earlier than full-power R-Ace or Unchained, which makes it impossible for those decks to flourish.
Good, I hate both of those archetypes lmao.
Of course, the hopefully also means snake eyes gets hit sooner and finally reduced to a lesser threat, as I hate the tier 0.5 meta of lab or snake eyes.
Monkey Paw is about the gems that players dont have after the previous set. Because we didn't get any warning for this set dropping the next day.

Samuolo isn't real. He never was real. He was just a hallucination caused by strong drugs injected into our veins to ease the terrible pain of existance as we lie in our hospital room, looking at the clock as doctors talk behind our backs, nurses joke with patients that, unlike us, will walk again one day instead of gazing at white walls. Maybe this month our children will have time to visit us. Wife died 10 years ago. Maybe this is the time we'll finally be together. We just hope that the funeral won't be too expensive. Poor kids have it hard these days.

"The Butterfly Effect" was considered multiple times with multiple different "guests" (Gamma, Imperm, Veiler etc) but it did not feel right because in a certain sense, they all just negate effects, I almost did not put the Nibiru part because Ash and Belle also negate summons, but by placing more emphasis on it being the 5th night and considering the other 2 already negated something I opted to do it.

I play pend magician sometimes and I can make a crazy board through 1 interruption, but today, if your deck can't play through 2 it just sucks, which is crazy to think about. pend magician's cards could all come off the banlist tomorrow and it wouldn't make it even a competition with snake eyes.

How can Farfa hate Exo? They're a very fair deck that doesn't use boring generic ED boss monsters, has unique interaction that isn't negate spam, has never been tier 1 (but is an amazing tier 2 deck in specific formats).
Is it solely because Exo is one of the few decks that runs and can play under D.Shifter? Because that's no different to any other deck running one or more floodgates they can play under - it's exactly the same as Kash playing Arise-Heart or D.Fissure, for example.
Or is it because he's one of those "Tear good, everyone else bad" folks and Exo was one of the only vaguely threatening decks to Tear? (note: Exo was one of the best non-Tear decks against Tear, and it still loses like more than 60% the time.)
