I was born in 65, and the arcades of my childhood were pinball and electro mechanical games like this one. When Space Invaders and Asteroids and Pac Man came out, I lost interest in the old games. But it's remarkable to look at them now and just marvel at the creativity of the original game designers. Wonderful game, wonderful video!

    Great Video Guys...
Been waiting for You to start the Repair of this Iconic Game since I sold it to you.
It looks in Amazing condition, & hope you can restore it to it's original Iconic State.
It's one of my favourite games from My childhood & brings back fond memories of playing it in Blackpool with my Dad.
All the very Best Alex & Team.
    Keep Up the great work..🤘🤘🤘

Do you know where in Blackpool it was? Always remember the Pleasure Beach having plenty really old games near the Big Dipper

@@alancheatley4378 it was one of the arcade just outside the Pleasure Beach heading backup the promenade. It was 45+ years ago, and I was a damn sight smaller. The cactus being shot in half fascinated ‘ickle me. A lot has changed in that time, Blackpool has aged worse than me!

Wonderful memory. I also have memories of being in Blackpool in the 70s and seeing something which I believe was Kasco "The Driver".. it blew my mind as a kid. I also remembering being there in the mid 80s with friends who are no longer with us while I played the hydraulic version of Space Harrier... when I go back now it is really not what it was... but I am looking forward to going to Arcade Club at some point.

Think it might have been in The Lucky Star arcade, that was just after you go past The Pleasure Beach. The Lucky Star was a great arcade in the 80s 😁 . It has been knocked down and is a Wetherspoons now, although it's named after an old ride The Velvet Coaster.

Every time I watch a video from you or Neil, I can't help but wonder how huge of a jackpot you guys hit with Heber... and they with you. It's simply... awesome and makes me so happy that these collaborations are getting more and more frequent.
The people from there are super good on cameras as well.

Well worth the wait this guys, having the resources and space makes all the difference here, just a shame I couldn't see it working tomorrow so, I'll just have to come down again!. Also it was a nice touch to see my name up on the official Arcadians! See you Saturday for an action packed day of nerdy chats (MiSTer please) and arcade high/low scores.

"Well now, I've just laid my eyes on something quite special, a piece over at 'Arcade Archive' about bringing back to life an old gunslinger from the past, Sega's Gun Fight from the '60s. It's like watching a man take an old, rusted six-shooter and polish it up until it shines like it did when it first came out of the forge. They've stripped it down, piece by piece, with the kind of care and patience you'd expect from a true craftsman, making sure every gear and spring is set just right. It's more than just fixing up an old game; it's about respecting the past and preserving a piece of history so that it can stand tall and proud once again. Makes you think, doesn't it? About the things we leave behind and how they endure, long after we're gone. Now that's a restoration worth tipping your hat to."

Excellent stuff. Anything electro mechanical brings back wonderful memories for me when my father had his cafe and arcade and we had a collection of mechanical 'bingo' tables (pinballs without flippers!) - he would spend many an evening with a friend keeping them running and I would watch on in awe at the clicking solenoids and bulbs lighting on and off.

Wonderful to see the EM and Video Gunfight machines in the same shot. The video game was on the first I ever saw circa 1978.. I've never seen the EM version... it's amazing they still exist as their money making ability was long gone by the end of the 70s.

@@TheArcadeArchive well you won't strip the heads as much, an impact one would loosen them, but it would probably shatter the acrylic in the process. I don't know if they sell PB Blaster in the UK, but it's a trillion times better at getting rusty screwed and bolts loose than WD 40
