A very enjoyable and informative presentation. I worked in a mitochondrial lab in the area of bioenergetics. Let me add a few more contraindications for good mitochondrial function.
One, don't overload on carbs. Two, do not eat large meals with big caloric loads. This goes for proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Three, do not eat a diet of ultra-processed foods.
Given the dietary habits of most Americans, we should probably supplement with a high-quality coenzyme B-complex + magnesium glycinate (night) or magnesium malate (daytime).

With regard to mitochondria: it’s definitely rooted in science what this man is saying. There are plenty of PhDs and professors talking about that on UA-cam (try typing in mitochondria along with Physionic or Mr. Picard) or reading a serious book on the subject.

Thank you for this video! I started with a case of tennis elbow that after a few weeks, my entire nerve was irritated from my spine to my forearm. For weeks, I tried red/infrared light therapy, acupressure, stretching, rolling, topical analgesics, and oral NSAIDs. Nothing was helping the inflamed nerve. The topicals only provided temporary relief. I decided to try Life Extension's R-alpha lipoic acid. There are positive studies on it's use in diabetic neuropathy and figured it couldn't hurt. In 3 days, the nerve pain had disappeared. I am not sure if this was an isolated case but I am shocked with the results.

Really interesting. Many thanks for sharing. As it relates to this from what I uderstand Red Light Therapy as little as 10 minutes a day 3X/week can therapeutically act to rehabilitate disregulatrd or dysfunctional mitochondria. This is based on findings of over 500 peer reviewd studies on the subject. For those who live where the can get regular consistent unfiltered sunlight throughout the entire year, that may be a better option. The redlight therapy through lamps are best for those that cannot get out due to serious mobility issues and those subject to winter months where extreme weather conditions may not allow them to get natural sunlight.

There is also this: CFS has now been found to be chemically similar to the dauer state which according to Robert K. Naviaux, MD, PhD, “kicks in when environmental stresses trigger a slow-down in metabolism to permit survival under conditions that might otherwise cause cell death. In CFS, this slow-down comes at the cost of long-term pain and disability."
