@@GermanEmpireEditz The border between Spanish and British North America was the Mississippi River until roughly Minneapolis, then the border was defined by what they thought was the Mississippi River. Georgia was also a rebel colony during the war.
I don’t think one should overlay modern US state borders on an 18th century map. The British were not the UK at the time but simply Great Britain, and the flag in the key should reflect that. The key should also tell you what yellow means. The treaty bit would have been a nice touch if it wasn’t for the grammatical errors, the use of UK rather than Great Britain and the misspelling of “lose” (which it seems no one on the internet can spell right anymore).
@@jhutchyboy1 well I was kinda in a rush making this so there’s 100% a lot of errors and also I couldn’t find maps that really went that deep in accuracy with the borders. Another thing being i didnt really think of adding the country in yellow (which is the spanish empire) since it wadent involved much in the war.
@@GermanEmpireEditz Spain wasn’t involved much in the war? They funded and sent weapons to the Americans, fought British forces close to the Mississippi and provided much needed naval support. Without their help, neither the Battle of Saratoga nor the Battle of Chesapeake would have been American (or allied) victories. I also found it strange you had “Americans and allies” yet kept Spain separate, now I see why. I can see you have a passion for history and graphic design. This is a good start but I implore you to do more research first. Keep it up.
