Yes. Sometimes I thought, since she cared so much for the gymnasts from other former USSR republics, that she might have been in training camps as a kid or junior even. It was beautiful to see, how much empathy she had, whenever a girl from Ukraine, Russia and so on started. I love her smile at the end of her routine, when she waves to the crowd. She seems to be such a genuine and beautiful person.
Wasn’t this the competition that Elena forgot her Floor Music too and had to use Podkopayeva’s earlier 1996 floor music and to rework her whole routine to make it work? I remember reading about this somewhere online. Please someone correct me if I’m wrong.
@@Boban1611 I think it happened at another competition earlier in the year. Podkopayeva had this song early in 1996 before they reworked her whole floor routine.
Beautiful choreography
True. There were one or two poses I would have left out of the routine, but overall she did a great job.
She was such a wonderful gymnast!
This gymnast always showed great sportsmanship to other gymnasts! This is such a lovely routine!! Thank you for posting!

Amazing!!
Absolute beautiful routine and composition.
floor was the only event she never got any medal, despite being so incredible, first gymnast to compete 2,5 twisyt to ront layout and layout twist
I really don't get it, because she had the difficulty and the style. I liked her a lot!
Awesome gymnast, also had some small deductions that added up and gave her lower scores than she was capable of
Agreed - but 9,412 was quite a rough score....
The judges must have had a bad day.
@@Boban1611 agreed. There was a lot of gymnasts that weren’t on Russia or Romania team so were underscored 😅🫢

Did that happen? This is the first time I hear about it.....
