- I bought this condenser dryer T691C from Miele for little money.
You can see in sections how the device is mounted after disassembling and cleaning it.
Finally, all the rags and towels that were in use and heavily soiled were washed in the Miele W986 "boilwash 95°C" with pre-wash and water plus (programmed as option 4, which uses a higher water level for washing and rinsing, and one insert additional rinse). Detergent: "Frosch Citrus"
The cleaned items were then used in the dryer for the first test run.
During the first minute (lines in the display) the laundry is moved without heating and the estimated time (here with 1:05 hours) is calculated, but it took only 58 minutes to reach "extra dry" without using any program options. Since the drying can now run much faster due to the cleaned air paths, the Novotronic controller will now "learn" this (!) And take it into account in the next cycles, ie the calculated time will be shorter in the future! At this point you get a sense of how smart these devices were in their time (T691C built from 1999-2004) already!
For the dryer, the cooling fan as well as the mains interference suppression filter and the temperature limiter on the heating register have been renewed.
The cooling fan, as well as the temperature limiter are probably overheated as a result of heavily polluted airways and failed accordingly.
The faulty temperature limiter made sure that the target temperature at the NTC (at the process fan) was not reached [the temperature limiter probably triggered too often in the past due to the heavily blocked airway (2:35), which is why it now rather "wrong" in the sense of too low temperature (instead of 175°C) already triggers] and the cooling fan what would then be turned on, just kept off. As a result, the electronics is still "waiting" for the nominal temperature at the NTC to be reached.
[With the option "protect/gentle" which dries at a lower temperature, the fan was already switched on after about 2 minutes!]
Regardless of the temperature, this fan is turned on with the degree of dryness "machine iron" reached, or at the latest enforced by the software after about 12 minutes.
The latter provided just for this unusually long term.
On the electronics a small further electronics is adapted, which forms the radio module for the system "Miele InfoControl". I don't have the display of this system. Therefore, I can neither test nor demonstrate it.
Aeg fan will do this instead of me, to which this really solid, swift and beautiful dryer will go.
