Just recently swatched this sort of thing. I did a purl on the ribber for my fold line, that purled row I didn't account for, meaning, I knit my band as 6 rows before and 6 rows after the button hole, the purl row at the same tension as the rest, then the 6 rows before and after the button hole again. I found that the purl row naturally turns the work in and lays it flat as if it were blocked that way. and the very edge of the band, is nice and crisp.
I finally can see every stitch and understand it. Very grateful of having the opportunity to watch your videos.
