I thank you for these great ideas. I have been using Lightworks for my channel for many years, but I have never used the Simple 2D shape, now I will use it.
Hello Mad Tech, Several editors on the Lightworks Forum were unable to couple the Titles and Simple 2D Shape such that both can be moved simultaneously with a single click-and-drag (at about 11:15). Would you be amenable to sharing your secret? Thanks -- George
Your channel is amazing! The food is phenomenal - and yes I've subscribed and will be watching them to see what I will be cooking this weekend. The style of the filming, and editing is rather good. It gives me ideas for my own videos! Thank you for your kind words and please do continue to make your amazing food for the camera!
that's cool that you are going to use them! Don't forget, you can also keyframe colour, transparency as well as position and size. It's not as easy as other software where they have presets, but you can really get some amazing effects with a few extra steps
very good video. Good length and well described . Exactly what i;ve been looking for , I;m new to editing and have been wondering how to make the titles llok better.
How would we implement red circles in Lightworks? The kind you 'd use to point out something in the video. Not a solid circle, but a ring that is hollow in the middle. The mattes only seem to be solid rectangle or solid circle.
hey i am having a problem with the simple 2d shape. Whenever i am adding it in, it has a black background which i cant remove. What do i do to remove the background
Thank you. I'm still having trouble getting this to work right. I set keyframes 7 frames from the start and finish, but instead of staying in the center where I wanted it, the box and text go to center then keep moving around for whatever reason. I can't seem to figure out why this is happening.
Thanks for another great and easy to understand video. I'm a safety training developer and our company allows us to use the Free version of Lightworks. Recently, I was asked if I could take their video and do a couple of things such as point things out or add text onscreen. I've dabbled with Lightworks a little before. I noticed I was trying to use transparent pngs (logo, red x, etc., onscreen). I'm looking to have text fade/slide onto the screen and then off, this video helped fuel ideas. I am curious about a video on what I'll call "highlighting" mentioned by Travel Meister. I think of this idea similar to Camtasia Studio. Is there a way to add an arrow to point out something? I'm gonna guess you need a transparent file of an arrow. What other shapes are possible to be used within Lightworks? A video on shapes would be helpful. Finally, a video on how to make your on lower-third, with a logo would be another possible video. Thanks and keep up the great work!
The older version, had the cursor at the end of each clip, now I downloaded the new one and the cursor goes back to the beginning of the clip. Could you help me out on this? I couldn't find any tutorial or even the instruction from lightworks addressing the changes.
hello. im a beginner to light works and i love your videos. but i use lightworks to make music videos ( try to anyway). i want to take it further and add the lyrics of a song to my video. could you do a video on how to do this please. id be really appreciated. :)
Thanks for another a most helpful video. I have a question though, - if I want to copy the same opening titles or set of closing credits onto another video how can I do this most easily in Lightworks?
I just tried to copy a title animation from one project to another - no go I'm afraid. I was also trying to create a "preset" from my titles. Again no go. I don't think this is possible on Lightworks

Great of you to say so! I just checked out your channel - you're amazing. I'm subscribing and trying out some of the stuff you make!

Thank you. I've been looking to improve the look of text on my videos. Just the ticket!
I have been wanting to dress up my titles. I love your ideas, and I'll use them in my next video!!

@@techismad I am now hoping I can copy my title setups too. I feel like I spend so much time on each title ;)
You should be able to drag them pressing alt on your keyboard. That should make a perfect copy with all the keyframes intact.
@@techismad yes! I did this successfully. It was such a time saver.
So,how did you manage to get the letters closer together at 0:11???you're never tell us=))

Thanks for these videos, I've really improved my editing because of them. I use Lightworks for all of my videos, and I really like it.
That's nice of you to say. I checked out your videos! How big is your farm / homestead?
@@techismad about 2 acres. Someday when I'm older, I plan to move to a larger property in the country.
