    Article: www.latimes.co...
We are not medical professionals. Everything we discuss is based on our own experience and research. Not every system is going to experience DID the way we do.
Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) - disruption of identity characterized by two or more distinct personality states AND recurrent gaps in the recall of everyday events, important personal information, and/or traumatic events inconsistent with ordinary forgetting. symptoms are not a result of accepted cultural or religious practices, or the use of substances.
Alter - distinct personality state in DID. Alters can have different personalities, beliefs, and tastes from one another.

Nice review, thank you. I read the article from your link. It was a good article, short, as you mentioned. We liked that there was some discussion about functional multiplicity and how the time loss and communication between parts can get way better. We don’t think that is talked about enough or even believed by some. Nice to see it discussed.

it is such a breath of fresh air to see such a well written article about DID that's bite-sized enough for the masses, but not at the expense of important information. i hope that the release of this article can inspire change within the general public about their perception of this disorder. thank you for sharing. - workhorse
