I really wish Nintendo would go back and explore DD's formula once more in a new Mario Kart for the Switch 2. Combine the established elements of Mk8 with Double Dash's play style, co-op Kart mechanics and chaotic special items would truly be a delightful throwback I'd drop everything for.
What I really want is the option for DD like co-op play as in players getting to choose if they want a single driver or have a driver and item thrower(and this wouldn't have effects on mechanics). I just want all Mario Kart fans to be pleased for the next Mario Kart, so you have people that prefer the normal solo style of usual Mario Karts and the players like me who love DD's co-op.

And choosing Double Dash style would either be for pure esthetic(for single player that just wanna select 2 characters that they like) or a way to play local co-op with a relative or friend(on/offline vs other players)

Nah that’s not a problem when all rubber banding Ai can’t drive at the start at all and mirror is the only thing I gotta deal with for my Wii U way of playing it. Also Mario kart Wii and 8 is preferred for 4 players or Multiplayer in general as it’s just much more and better while I’m playing DD for fun and not caring (Mostly Mario and Wario).
I patched the ISO ROM and got it running on Nintendont loader, the titlescreen changed to MKDD plus screen, but the levels are the same? I followed the instructions correctly? How did you get the levels to patch over the ISO file?
Is there a mod that removes the slippery controls and add a manual jump mechanic? You know, to fix the 2 biggest major deal breaker errors of this game.

Double Dash was so fun. People played with friends just for a fun time. Picking their fave character instead of what the one meta character is. Not doing things like hoarding an item all race. Just pure fun. 🥲
