Jackery style power station and a single electric blanket. You can get pretty much a nights constant use out of the smaller ones and you don't need them on high. It's my go to solution when I'm camping in the back of the works Transit
Been contemplating a bigger power station but I go for 3-5 nights, so would need a quite a big one and they're expensive. By the way, do you have an underblanket or a overblanket? Cheers
@@104s_Unplugged some of the bigger ones would last quite well; my Silentnight single (under blanket, not over, so I can still use a sleeping bag) uses 40w on high, but low is enough on most of my trips, and that pulls about 15w. You could either recharge with a run of the engine, or a solar panel if you were there for enough time to consider a recharge requirement. A lot of these newer generation stations will go from 0-80% in an hour. Worst case, if they have a shop/office, you could always bung them a couple quid to charge it for a few hours whilst you went off walking, and have enough juice for another couple days or so. That's my take on it anyway.
On keeping warm, a hot water bottle and merino wool thermals is a good option. I always save left over boiled hot water from the kettle (making tea etc) in a flask and use that as either water for more tea later (or in the morning) or the water bottle
Lol don’t have too many ‘reminders’ of rum or you’ll not be of fit and sound mind haha, seriously though, good call on keeping things simple. Its amazing how quickly panic can set in
Away again this week and left the rum at home! Was away during two named storms this past few weeks and my daily rum rations whetted my appetite for more!

Good idea with the vacuum bag sealer - we've got one of them, so I think I prepare some grub at home and just do a re-heat. I enjoy the cooking but it'll be nice to spend less time on that and more time hiking, Vlogging drinking rum! I know the Fairpoint Farms channel and I'll check out the Yolaness. All the best!

Been wearing long-johns and doing a hot water bottle at home lately - holding off putting the heating on! Just like the old days! Cheers.
